- Diary of a Young Naturalist chronicles the turning of 15-year-old Dara McAnulty’s world. From spring and through a year in his home patch in Northern Ireland, Dara spent the seasons writing. These vivid, evocative and moving diary entries about his connection to wildlife and the way he sees the world are raw in their telling.

I first heard about Dara this morning on the RTÉ 1 radio show and was impressed listening to him with his wonderful zest for life from the beautiful natural world we live and so often take for granted. I am very lucky and rent an apartment in County Kildare set in 500 + acres of wonderfully naturally green grounds with very contented birds of all sorts an other wild life and so can fully understand this incredible young man, I am old lady of 73 yrs and am so glad to hear of such enthusiasm for the natural world that I love waking up every morning to enjoy especially during the last 6 months.
What an inspiring and intelligent young man. Really look forward to reading his book.

Just bought the book , really looking forward to a brilliant read by all accounts, congrats Dara, they say timing is everything and Dara’s book will hopefully encourage many people to reconnect with nature and feel uplifted by the beauty of the natural world and it’s calming rhythms.

An excellent introduction to Dara's brilliant book, which details his love of nature, a passion which I share with him. I was really impressed with the lyrical descriptions he uses. Dara writes in a vivid and poetic way that brings his story to life.
Amazing .. i will suggest to the local authorities at saudi Arabia to invite this young man to Riyadh international book fair which will be held October 1-10, 2021.
I love him so much. I got his latest book for Christmas, he's awesome, judging from all the punk shirts he wears he's a pretty awesome human

Re: Dandelions - Now he tells me. I have been pulling these out for the past two weeks. It's not the yellow flowers that are the issue but the seed stage which kids love to blow around the garden: "one o'clock etc"
