So wish Sega would re-release this in HD, but Daytona has eclipsed it so much virtua-lly none of the other racing games get a look in now aside from OutRun.
Jacen Hale That wasn't a re-release, that was a remake. Not emulation, but remade to look like virtua racing and play like virtua racing, but not the actual game. I did heard Virtua Racing is coming out for the Nintendo Switch
Hell yeah man. As a child of the 70s and 80s todays kids have no idea what fun was. Lining up with your buddies and quarters, girls everywhere, the cig burns on the machines, food court. Damn, todays kids missed out on so much, I feel sorry for them.
Gorilla Jones I was born in 1999 and I get how you feel. Arcades are some of the best places to be if you got great games to play and a few friends/family members to play with.
HOLY SHIT! Thank you so much. This was me and my buddies every fucking Saturday for a couple of years at the Milford Rec! Anyone from CT who used to play with us at Milford Rec, shout out! :)
I got to play the higher end version you sit down in where the sides inflate to give you the sensation of pulling G's around corners... That was back around 1993. I'll never forget playing it at the Seaside Heights Boardwalk in NJ.
Hi, I've got one of those (DLX) as well, fully working again after a long work, I'll post a clip when I have time, thx you all for your comments, make the page much more vibrant !
Dude, I would so love to see one of those again! It's been a long-long time! So glad I got to grow up during the arcade hey-days! I still remember the night I played it and first seen Daytona USA brand new! Me and my friend where spending the weekend at his grandmas down at the shore and we weren't allowed to go to the boardwalk by ourselves but we snuck out at night and rode our bicycles there anyway! The lines where so long for the brand new Daytona games that's why I was playing the Virtua Racing machine, heh.:)
Ignored this game when it came out because I only saw it for Genesis and 32X(hated early 3D graphics) . Came here after the announcement that it's coming to the Switch. Day one purchase.
uhfnutbar1 you were only able to link 4 machines together for a total of 8 players The best version in my opinion was the single seater with airbags and a widescreen display. I believe this was the first game to use a widescreen monitor (games prior to this used multiple monitors to widen the play area).
Looks so much fun playing 4 player. I just got the upright version last weekend. Love the game !
luckyyyyy
I remember 30 years ago! Nostalgic!

What about the PS2 FlatOut release?

@@ProjectALPHARD I hope the switch version will be 4 players like in this video or be able to race your friends or other people online
Your wish was granted
Switch version can do up to 8 players splitscreen! Now, SEGA, re-release Daytona again! Or better, Daytona 2!
HOW multiplayer looked in the 90s
Online multiplayer is no match to a good ol arcade match against your friends .. i want arcades to comeback.
No doubt! Many hours with friends playing Daytona USA and RUSH!
E5m Talking about DAYTONA.... DAYTONA USA 3 is coming out :)

They never left. The arcade spirit is still alive and well, thanks to establishments like Dave & Busters. Arcades will never die!!
Cool video! I love that you guys were all so neck-and-neck throughout the entire race.

YOOOO I just noticed how the signs light up depending on who’s in first place! That’s so cool!!
nothing beats some classic old school arcade racing goodness 🤘😌
Its cool the way the light blinks above who is first

You're right exact name is DX
Cool I would love to play this on original hardware again.
Muito show rapaziada ❤❤❤❤❤
I have this 4 player version with the 5th Live Monitor on on top in my basement gameroom. It always gets played by guests. :)
One of the First Great 3D game ever ...
Sega the best , Hi from Venezuela .
sometimes the most simple games are the most fun, arcade racers are a prime example
Ignored this game when it came out because I only saw it for Genesis and 32X(hated early 3D graphics) . Came here after the announcement that it's coming to the Switch. Day one purchase.
3:19 3 Players game over
3:25 1st position Game Over
I yet have to see a Virtua Racing cabinet in my country (Uruguay)
I can't think of a better setup for a game room. You wouldn't need anything else haha.
amazing!!!!!!
Is there force feedback in these arcades? Great stuff!
❤️😍❤️
Cool
So I assume the player with the Green 4 is the Pro and Red 1 is an Amateur, he was last overall. Still, a great race to everyone ;)
i want this machine!!!
In Toronto in the 90`s they had 10 cars link together :)

Player 1 was real bad
This game is just a rip-off of Daytona USA.
This game came two whole years before Daytona USA. Please do your research before posting bullcrap.
YOu are so annoying bullcrapy idiot
@@tongkuanhoong9889 this game is better than Daytona infact virtua racing is so good it was voted for a nintendo switch release
tong kuan hoong that’s not mature. Just accept you were wrong and you played yourself.
