- This walk takes in the four munros to the east of The Fannaichs. A weather day of two halfs with snow and strong winds for the first hills before things improved. Winter is dragging its heels as the low temperatures give little indications of summer warmth.
Hi Charlie what a walk of contrasting weather just a brilliant video clip and running commentary awesome scenery an area I am not familiar keep them coming
Hi Philip, Glad you enjoyed our trip into the Fannaichs. There are a super range of hills with contrast throughout. ATB, Charlie.
Again a useful and entertaining film. I love the hills when you get such changeable weather( particularly when I’m watching it from the comfort of my armchair), it makes life a bit more interesting and the contrast in colours is amazing.
I also admire you for your geographical mountain spotting skills, you have me pausing every two mins and checking my OS map to work out what fits where.
Very informative as always and helping me plan and tick off the remaining 95 Munro’s I have still to do.
Thanks Charlie
Hi Timothy, Your into double figures to complete so you’ll have a good idea of the changing conditions the Scottish hills present you with. Hope you enjoy the remaining tops which also get harder as the total decreases. Cheers Charlie.
Very good again Charlie. Liked the wee howff
Hi Gordon, That wee how was perfect and much need as it was wild. Oddly, enough we have used it before for the same reason a few years back. ATB, Charlie.
Great film again Charlie, looks like you got true Scottish conditions that day, all the weather!
Hi John, We certainly had everything thrown at us but it came good in the end. Many thanks for watching. Cheers, Charlie.
top stuff Charlie !! 😍
Hi Larry, Certainly a day of two halfs. Take care, Charlie.
Looked at these on Saturday, but opted for the bike and Strath Vaich instead after looking at The MWIS forcast because of the winter gear risk (I'm not confident enough or equipped enough for winter hills) .. Just binged all three vids this morning too.
Looks like a corker of a few days mate Atb Andy.
So changeable Charlie. I could feel the cold as you headed up that first hill. Cant help but love British summer time. 🤣⛷. Great wee film again. Still to make my way up here. Paul
Hi Paul, You'll certainly enjoy these hills once you get around to them. It's just a magic area with the sea and mountain combination. Take care, Charlie.
Great stuff Charlie. Glad it cleared for you. Heading up that way at the weekend. May still has a sting in its tail. Cheers
Hi Scott, The weekend is looking good so hopefully you'll not be fighting the bloody cold. Take care, Charlie.
Thanks again for the trip and glad the weather improved after the grim start. I enjoy following the route on the OS map. Also good to see the summit cairns are all in tact.
Love your videos thank you for posting them and taking the time to make them.
Hello, Many thanks for taking the time to watch our outings. Take care, Charlie.
That looked wild in the morning. A very enjoyable watch again thank you.
Hi Mike, Scottish winter in the morning and Spring in the afternoon. I right mixed bag but a cracking day. Cheers, Charlie.
Hi Charlie, my that looked a little wild at the start, glad it eventually cleared up for you. It’s always nice to have some clouds though to create those dramatic looking views. Thanks for sharing your adventures again! 😀👍⛰🏴
Hi Dave, Many thanks for watching. The day was certainly a mixed bag but great nonetheless. ATB, Charlie.
superb, thanks for sharing. looked a bit wild to start, glad it cleared you. Great film as always :)
Hi Ian, It was certainly a lot colder than we had expected but the afternoon made up for the trials of the morning. Cheers, Charlie.
A day of contrasts indeed! Lovely video.
Hello, Many thanks for watching. Quite a contrast but an early summer outing would be a welcome change. ATB, Charlie.
Evening Charlie, looks mighty fresh.... I'm totally amazed how many munro's and Corbett's you bag in any one day.....super fit laddie 😁
Thanks for sharing stay safe
ATVB
👍🏔
Hi Dave, Many thanks for watching. Just got to keep walking otherwise we'll seize up :). ATB, Charlie.
Great work Charlie. Looked like full-on winter conditions on the 2nd. Hope you’re having a cracking week!
Hi Paul, Our week has started well but a wet day yesterday. The rest of the week is looking better. Cheers, Charlie.
Wow what a great scenic hike and also good to the the current snow levels - kind of mad for may so 😉👍
Hi Stripey, This weather isn't real.. the first top was like a winter outing but that's what keeps the Scottish tops interesting. ATB, Charlie.
A wee bit dreich, Charlie.
So it was when I did them Drank rainwater from a hollow in the rock on one summit!
Nice one Charlie. Your fairly getting oot these days like. Nice memories of our trip to the Fannichs last Sept. Cheers.
Hi Kev, There is no stopping the old farts at the moment, I'm sure we'll running out of steam soon :) Cheers, Charlie.
@@charliemccartney7055 haha Nice one 😁
Great video Charlie. Do you mind me asking how far on the loop is the water feature at 0:46? Fancy taking some photos of that for my Portfolio. Thanks.
Hi Bruce, There are quite a few water features on the river that's worth a photo. They aren't far from the car, possibly 2km at most, and you could easily wonder up the path on the west side. It's a super area and well worth a visit and I suspect water levels could change the features quite a bit.
Enjoy....... Cheers, Charlie
An interesting adventure, Charlie. Looks more like a day in November than May - not a sign of any real change in the hills to summer conditions. Where did you start this round from, just east of Loch Droma on the Dirrie Mor, as I think I recognised the Met station behind you.
Hi Ian, We started at the east end of Loch Droma and completed the loop from there. The first hill was pretty wild and more like winter than summer, the camera didn't quite capture just how bad it was. Roll on summer... Cheers, Charlie.
