It seems Labour has absolutely no intention of reducing net migration if they push ahead with the idea of adopting EU freedom of movement for under 30s, and who does it actually benefit ? In 2015, the year before the Brexit referendum Immigration from the EU under freedom of movement rules totalled 170,000 whilst Brits moving in the opposite direction was 35,000. I'm not sure how many of these people were under 30, but the figures show that almost 5 times more arrived in the UK and would suggest this scheme would only benefit europeans and at the same time increase net migration which is already unsustainable.
