I sort of did these 3 all at once, so it was only 1 day in the shop powder coating for all 3 :)

Disappointed that you didn't show putting it back together.

Thank you so much for making these videos- they have been so informative in my journey of taking apart, repairing and maintaining these beautiful machines.
I just want to ask one thing, do you have any advice about how to repair the sunbeam shield emblem? Sometimes they come with chunks eaten out of the decal, and would love to make them look original again.

Hi, thanks! Thats awesome, Im glad you dove into it!! You can purchase replacement decals from I believe Etsy and ebay. They are waterslide decals so pretty easy to install. I always made my own, but the waterslide should be easily found on those sites.

Oh, cool! I was thinking, since most of the decal is intact on mine, I could just precisely cut out the missing parts, and put decals over the missing spots. Would it also work to buy blank waterslide paper and print the decal onto it if I eventually decide to restore more mixers?
I first got a kitchenaid K45 because I didn't want to pay 200$ for a new one, but after I found out a bit more about them, the all metal construction, ect.- I started to love all vintage appliances.
I love the all American 1940's wartime feel of the model 7 here. The old ads as well the manual for them are so fascinating... it sort of makes make me feel like I own a piece of history.
Thank you so much for replying!

@@ClashingParadise I guess you could print your own, that would definitely keep you in stock! I use a model 7 myself, I love it!

Hey, there. I have an old K5A that I’ve been wanting to get restored. Do you have a website or email for inquiries?
