@@doxasnike4789 do any of these masters have a channel? does any video of folding such a complex design exist? I bet everyone would like to see a timelapse or a long closeup video of those intricate techniques. also… who designs those and HOW :)
I feel like the first one would be a fun project for a more advanced artist. It only seems daunting because the crease pattern leaves some vagueness so you can size the number of repeating patterns to your paper size
I feel like these are the models that people that are dedicated JUST to origami because no one has 2 free months of folding with a piece of paper as big as an entire room 😂😂
Where did you find the Crease Patterns for the models? I want to give a try on Aged Dragon but I can't find it, could you tell us where you got it, please?
@@ArtOfFold , thank you and I'm sorry, It was my fault I did not noticed into the description. I just saw the first link and did not find the romanesco then I thought the links were just to the main pages, sorry and thanks.
@@quangtuphan1635 No worries! I think I did just link to their websites on a couple of them, I actually got the CP for the romanesco from his IG since it wasn't on his website. I'm not sure if a better version of the aged dragon CP exists, that was the best one I could find.
I'm no expert, but I know enough to know that there are some basic origami principles that help break down the design process into smaller and simpler parts (geometric principles, circle packing, etc.). For simpler models, experienced folders can kind of figure it out as they go along by trial and error, but for more advanced models some advanced mathematics may be required, which is where computers can come in handy for the design process.
Hey so Kevin hi how do you make the stop motion animation soo... clean. I mean like how do you make them look like they are actually moving and not like pics?
I use 24 frames per second, so I take a lot of pictures and it just moves a tiny bit each time. It's very time consuming, but it ends up looking smoother
@@ArtOfFold so basically you smack the frames per second to 24 and just move each thing by like one centimeter? Gosh that's time consuming but worth a shot cuz on my next BIRTHDAY (7months later and 23 days) My mom will buy stop morion studio pro so I wanted to try it out oh well wish me luck!(you don't have to)
@@gopsahoo805 The frames per second is when you're combining it into a video, each second of video is 24 photos. It depends on what I'm shooting, but I probably move things by less than a cm between shots most of the time. It's definitely not for everyone, but I enjoy it. I would do more of it, but it's hard to make the time for it. Good luck!
@@ArtOfFold it was a joke but I tried it put for a test and it's really clean but tbh I can't do it with lego characters so I'll stick with my method but thanks

Not yet. I've test folded the difficult parts of the crease patterns on a few of them, but I haven't been dedicated the time to folding any of them yet.
These are some crazy designs. Comment below which one's your favorite!
Cactus 🌵
The size of the "single" square for each of these must have been enormous ... they all look great
For sure, I'm guessing each of them were at least 1 meter
@@ArtOfFold where do u find such big paper
@@the_person_ You make it my friend.
Some of them have been folded with as small as 39 cm paper

Kei Watanabe's Aged Dragon was hands down favorite of mine. Love that organic look for the shapes.
The falcon just hit me differently.. they're all complex, but that one just struck me.

Im am currently working on this one and surprisingly, it is not very hard.
Robert Lang's cactus is very mindblowing
It's crazy! I definitely want to fold one for my house
the bobbit worm looked so realistic!
The best fold is probably the romanescu but my favourite model is the Dragon by Watanabe
That romanesco is insane and such a unique idea. He actually used a projector to display the crease pattern on the paper while he scored it
@@ArtOfFold oh wow I had no idea!
I've folded that spiny lobster and man, I gotta say it is worth the days of work I put into it.
Insane. The human mind is truly incredible. These are all astonishing - I have no favorite bc they are all stunning in different ways.
Wow thanks for sharing videos with crease patterns.
You’re welcome 😊 The crease patterns definitely help to show how crazy they are
@@ArtOfFold yes and some models looks simple but their cp are so complicated !
The Bobbit Worm is for me the hardest origami ever created Who can even do theese bilions of circles 😱
Glad to have an updated video

Falcon is looking very good. Ryujin scale adopted.
Falcon is gorgeous
it would be nice if you mentioned the folders..but they all look great, and I think the ryujin 3.5 was folded by a korean guy named Tae dong wook.
