The first thing I did after buying a 2.0 was installing the Hot Racing limiting straps (like you showed in one of your videos). One of my rear rod ends riped out after very excessive bashing (and failed landings on concrete). Think like about a year and the 10th-15th run. But it was a simple fix, a drop of super glue into the plastic end and screwed them back together. In my optinion the the limiting straps are a must have for every E-Revo 2.0 owner and if you still have to replace the pushrods, then upgrade to the latest 8619 for maximum strength. And I have to say, your channel is way to underrated for the content you show! Greetings from Germany!
@@dadaves77 I ordered at monsterhopups, 90 mm (95 should work too). Unfortunately not in stock: www.monsterhopups.de/Hot-Racing-Federwegsbegrenzer-Federung-Travel-Limit-Straps-90mm-Gunmetal2-SLS90T1111 If you cant get any, use cable ties!
I got my EREVO April 2021. Been to the skat park a few times. Popped the pivot ball out of the rear knuckle a time or 2 but a hard smack, and It poped back in. Broke my wheelie bar too. New style Push rods have been fine.
Bought my e-revo in late april. 2020. It did come with the new style rod ends. I landed on an uneven sidewalk, direct hit concrete ledge on the front rod end, bent it 45°, but it did NOT break, so i used a hammer to tap it straight again. Re-installed and been bashing hard since. Huge moon jumps, flat concrete landings, nothing has broken or come loose except a pivot ball , but just some loctite and put back on. Zero rod end issues since out the box!
I bought my E-Revo from a local Taxxas shop in May 2020 and mine had the upgraded rods out of the box. I have broken SO MANY THINGS on the E-Revo but never pulled a rod end out. I have bent the rod but they bend back nicely.
I have been looking at this very recently and got confused. This clears up that they are altogether a new design. Good to see Traxxas addressing this issue as it was getting a little annoying. Thanks for the update!
Got these a few days ago and had some hard runs. I only installed it on the rear right where I have had all my problems. Coupled with the limiting straps my son and I have it a good bash with loads of tumbling and it worked like a charm.
This is the same with the rear hub carriers for all the smaller 4x4 cars. Traxxas changed the whole carrier design and never up dated the part number. The newer carriers first appeared on the Rustler 4x4 and now they're on everything.
Outsourced RC....not sure if you saw this but there’s another UA-cam basher who did a hardcore test run with the new pushrods. I won’t mention his name out of respect to your channel. However, he beats the hell out of his cars. And after a day of extreme off-road and skate park bashing, the new pushrods held until the very end. In fact, the only thing that cracked was the eye lit where the screw goes into the end of the pushrod. Only one cracked. They never bent or stripped out. And he wasn’t using the limiting straps which I think is an extra strength necessity to the rear suspension. I came away from that vid feeling that the new pushrods are the solution. Enjoying your videos. Looking forward to more 😃
My e revo arrived at beginning of June and it has the new pushrods, so far nothing wrong with them, I have a ramp like your smaller one to jump off and backflip. Not lost a rod at front or rear. I have a Erevo 2.0 and I had the original one with the small rod ends. I drove it for years already. I am a skate park basher an must say. The biggest improvement to do to this rc is the bump stops. This eliminates most of this cars rod end problems an I still have the old style small rod ends

I know these have been out for at least a year and a half. My buddy has the E-Revo 2.0, and the first day he drove it he broke the rod end. I told him, "be careful, these things will get away from you very quickly". Five minutes into his run he hit a golf cart and broke one. When he went to the hobby shop later that day, those rod ends are the ones they gave him. Yes. I'm making an E Revo video tomorrow.. I'm still running stock. I'm not sure that the drive train can handle more than that. I have not actually looked into it. I do know that a lot of RC's start breaking parts when you put more power into them.

When asked about this TRAXXAS said they have nothing to say about it and do not recommend this motor or esc for the MAXX. It made me laugh.

I seen an awesome video for ur cure for the pushrods but i can't seem to figure out how to share it to you...if u want goto Josh England...on FB and there will be a picture of me and my gray pit...look at my news feed...hope this helps
Mine doesn’t break much. When you say “ you have to do a bunch of stuff”, what do you mean? The only really necessary thing I can think of is the rear shock bumpstop mod (or limiting straps). I guess some better servos would be good, but in most cases not necessary for a while (been running mine for over a year). A arms are really tough, chassis is great. The rod ends pull out or sometimes break, but if you carry a few spares it’s really not a big deal at all. I have put on the traxxas upgraded rear brace, and metal spur gear, but those are pretty cheap parts. Compare that with the Kraton 6s or 8s. Don’t get me wrong Kraton can ultimately be more durable, but only after you replace 80% of the parts with aftermarket upgrades $$$(certainly not stock though).
Your landings would be much better if you had a table top landing. That way you did not Drive underneath your landing. You also would not be damaging any of your cars as much.
You should also get your sway bars and install them. If you widen your wheelbase you will get better steering and less rolling. Also taking small piece of fuel line put it on break for your controller it makes it easier for your finger to touch.
I’m so tired of my local hobby shops I went out of town which is only a 40 minute drive 35 minute 40 minute drive yes I did tell him the wrong part number but I also told him where my rod goes into the plastic the thread broke in half for a deer there is no gluing it back there’s nothing I wanted to upgrade he gave me all the front ones I want it all the back ones I even told them the gym weren’t the right ones he said them are the right ones then I have to run I got three boys they each got one plus The Revo the horse in the roost and the Arma Senton
Not sure why you would intentionally or should i say radically try to damage you rc especially if the rods where ok at the time ??? If they break during a bashing ok than replace!! Not sure i get it ?
The first thing I did after buying a 2.0 was installing the Hot Racing limiting straps (like you showed in one of your videos). Lol mine are red anodized and even bigger? 8619R
I seen an awesome video for ur cure for the pushrods but i can't seem to figure out how to share it to you...if u want goto Josh England...on FB and there will be a picture of me and my gray pit...look at my news feed...hope this helps
If they come with the better rodends. Can we call it the E Revo 2.5?
Ha. No. It takes more than that.
Just got a E Revo 2.0 with the updated pushrod’s do I still need to upgrade the brace with the straps?
I would. You can try it and see if it rips your shocks apart with out them.
Did you know humming birds flap their wings 200 times a second
I googled it. The internet says 53 beats per second for North American hummingbirds.
Oh cool
Can you do a cool drive with you erevo a make a sick vid
I would get one but it breaks a bunch and you have to do a bunch of stuff out of the box
I mean, I cant change the shape of my yard lol
You should also get your sway bars and install them. If you widen your wheelbase you will get better steering and less rolling. Also taking small piece of fuel line put it on break for your controller it makes it easier for your finger to touch.
Does anyone here know why my RV car keeps going flat out on its own randomly??
Dimi Haridemos calibrate your electronics.
SoleEpiphany ok
I’m so tired of my local hobby shops I went out of town which is only a 40 minute drive 35 minute 40 minute drive yes I did tell him the wrong part number but I also told him where my rod goes into the plastic the thread broke in half for a deer there is no gluing it back there’s nothing I wanted to upgrade he gave me all the front ones I want it all the back ones I even told them the gym weren’t the right ones he said them are the right ones then I have to run I got three boys they each got one plus The Revo the horse in the roost and the Arma Senton
Yeah sometimes guys at hobby shops can be kinda elitist. I hope you get it sorted out.
Why don’t your videos have an end screen
With the new erevo 2.0 setup I dont even need straps
I am looking at these. Why do you not need the straps?
Mine came with the new ones, maybe that's why I've had so much better luck than you did...
Not sure why you would intentionally or should i say radically try to damage you rc especially if the rods where ok at the time ??? If they break during a bashing ok than replace!! Not sure i get it ?
You don’t get it. But at least you realize that.
Its to show how well they hold up. Anyone can SAY something is stronger. I wanted to show it.
Outsourced RC....are they still holding up?
🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
Your attempt to cover up the use of tool you used to line up the ball ends, failed again!!!
Thanks for the info! Very helpful 👍
