I’ve been doing a trim like this for a few years now on my havanese mix, a close body cut and long on her legs, tail, ears, head. I never shave her face, but I love how this kind of cut looks so stylish and well kept.
Just love this cut/style ... and moreso the parti poodle - i have 3 moyen standard poodles - 1 cream, 1 tuxedo (silver-gray) and a phantom black/cream ... i requested smaller poodles because they are just the right size for me ... your pet is gorgeous - just started trimming/grooming my girls so i am a beginner and truly appreciate your skill and talent and time you take to explain.

One question I have though, how come whenever there’s a seminar or a tutorial being shown it’s always a poodle. Is it because they’re so versatile and have such easy coats to work with? I’d love to see somebody be able to do such an impressive finish on a shih tzu a Maltese or any other drop coated breed because as I’m sure others would agree their coat is not as nice to scissor. Poodles not only have a far superior coat for scissoring - but they have a far superior temperament for willingness to stand for hours while being videographed.
Are Parti Color Poodles apart of the AKC Breed Standard? I never see the Parti Color at the National Dog Show or WKC Dog Show. No judgment. Would just like to see more of them.
Bryan Edney Unfortunately not. Only solid colors are shown in AKC shows, that’s why you see black and white the most, but they can be shown in UKC ones. It’s unfortunate because poodles have some of the most diverse colors, yet only red, black and white are shown.
Odd thing is they can be AKC registered but cant be in a show because they are not "standard" when back in the 1800's parti poodles were quite normal. I think our parti poodles would be too much competition for the solid! no no just kidding. Maybe the solid is needed to see bone structure and not distract from that kind of thing? Who knows. I love my little cow and everyone stops and adores her when I am out. :)
WOW 🤩 some people should buy a poodle instead a doodle they are more beautiful and also need help with their health instead of being used for breeding awesome dogs!
@@Waiting4RealLife A good breeder would NEVER breed a mutt. Even if they are health testes, they have health issues and temperament issues. Their coat is also HORRIBLE and no matter how often you brush them, it will stay matted. Doodles are 75% poodle, so why not just get a fucking poodle? If you want a mutt, go to a shelter, do NOT support backyard breeders. Only backyard breeders and mills breed doodles.
@@mobstercrow7515 I was a dog groomer for 32 years so I know exactly what I am saying. Long coated dog breeds are a whim of human's créations. 80% of them have to be groomed and 80% of them are matted. Dematting is a painfull process for them.
It is a parti poodle dumbass. Parti poodles are a normal colour, they can be showed in dog shows but not the AKC. Only solid coloured dogs can be showed in the AKC. Do some basic research on poodles and please go back to elementary, you really need it.

There is no such thing as a moyen standard poodle. You either have a moyen, or a standard. Standard is the largest, moyen is basically a mini.

As long as you use a breeder who does genetic testing on the parents, then you are good! :)

Poodles have to be shaved or else they will get painful matts. Do some basic research on dogs before you write stupid comments like these.
