o.m.gee i can't believe how easy this is!!! i thought it was gonna be hard!!! thank you for making it so easy to understand for i have a really hard time reading instructions. 😍😍😍😍😍
I presume that the thumb moves from C to E to high G because the ukulele has a high G, right? And so if you were to play this on an ukulele with a low G, you would change the pattern to G-C-E.
Thank you for the beautiful video! Very helpful. Do you mind sharing some additional flamenco style chord progressions? Think I've got the finger picking down...
hi everybody, the realy flamenco fingerpiking it's THUMB-INDEX-ANULAR-MIDDLE-INDEX, (I-A-M-I, IN E STRING). You can proving playing in F#major phrigian escale. it is really flamenco! !!
it's a Kanile'a. They actually have a model called Aldrine, it's probably that one. Or a K-3. You can also make a custom ukulele on their website, if none tickle your fancy. Size wise I don't know...maybe a concert?
initially it may make things easier, but for extended periods your one finger will fatigue really easily, so it's better to develop both fingers to alternate from the start.
Can you clarify a point. I get that the index and middle finger CAN be used to pluck the A string but do you recommend that both be used in playing the double note i.e. thumb-index-middle; thumb-index-middle etc, or would it be appropriate to choose to use one or the other i.e thumb-index-index etc or thumb-middle-middle etc.? Hopefully I'll hear from Aldrine but I'd welcome replies by others here.
In order to play it with speed you'll want to alternate between the two fingers index and middle on the high string. Using just come and one other finger won't really work as well to create speed and a smooth sounding triplet...
I love the Guitar Hero style fretboard you put on there. Very helpful!
Aldrine, you are so great!! Thank you for sharing all your knowledge. It is a big pleasure learning from you. Aloha!
Yo I was playing ukulele (since I played guitar for a year) I decided to do exactly what you did. Glad to see I'm not the only one

Why is Need Leeds playing Ukelele?
Hi Aldrine, what song would you put to this finger picking technique thanks.
Wow
Are using the two fingers at the bottom string necessary? Could the same thing not be achieved by using a one finger?
initially it may make things easier, but for extended periods your one finger will fatigue really easily, so it's better to develop both fingers to alternate from the start.
Briante Najev it simulates the way bass players play, and allows for less strain on the fingers
