I took a look at their website for a few minutes. Right off the bat, I don't see a team listed. While it may be good for the narrative, and might even be another project to make money on, I'm already not convinced it is what they say it is. Not enough transparency. Don't have their own blockchain. My long view of the project is skeptical for the moment. Need more information. Also need to see it actually come to market and see something happen.

Beyond that, you want to brag about other blockchains leveraging Arweave for on chain storage because they themselves cannot do it, something which is pretty typical in crypto. Hosting a token and ledger on chain, and little to nothing else. You also make a lot of assumptions about what I do and do not know based off one comment. This is what we have been discussing for months. If a competitor to ICP enters the market with better marketing, it might surpass ICP. Let's face it, ICP has great innovative technology, but their marketing is lagging behind.
For u to say that is because u dont inderstand ICP yet... It is not about marketing, it will be huge because of its technology... We are still in the phase of pure speculation in this emergent market... There is no will tech competition to icp in a matter of 10 years... All that will be is this speculation!
I think AO the computer it is a competitor due the fact that it supports large language models right of the bat! ICP is currently optimizing their LLM game! But it will get there I have no doubt about it. But like you said, its nice seeing more projects trying to solve compute, decentralization and fully on chain capabilities. I will get myself some crypto kitties that game reminds me of Worms Armageddon, good old times!
I'm an investor in ICP and have bridged some of my ETH to farm AO. Did some research on the differences and it's very technical. I think they have excellent tokenomics though.
Golddao tried to get in on fueldao sns proposal (I think that was it's name?Was to do with tesla's) but got voted down (I voted it down for sure). Arweave uses aws so is not decentralized.
AO is going to overtake ICP pretty quickly by itself, not even including the AR layer. ICP doesn't fit in the market place currently. It's too centralized, controlled by seed investors and has a bad name to it. DFINITY might as well scrap the project and start over. They can't catch any traction, it's an impossibility.

Its not really comparable. Its built on Arweave’s permanent data storage layer.
