This all starts to make a lot more sense of you consider that Min-kyu told Ji-young expressly that he was hesitant to like her-and that he told Yi-soo literally the opposite. I have no excuse for the cuddle date, but the rest of it definitely checks out!
I do think the cuddle date was the turning point. He realised things could get a lot more serious and made a conscious decision to go in the opposite direction. I think all of his moves after this point were not misleading.

Guys just so you know before being too harsh on Mingyu and Yisoo there are a lot of scenes between them that don’t get shown in the show. The producers of the show have madr Jiyoung the main character and Yisoo and Mingyu the villains portraying them in bad light.

Agreed… I think there are a lot more interactions and conversations between MK & YS that aren’t shown in the show because the PD chooses JY as main character in this show. In fact that MK still chooses YS even with small portion of scenes in the show that audience can see, that means MK likes YS more and more comfortable.
Mingyu is the "shy guy" actually avoidant in his feminine energy aka receiving energy and is shocked by all the attention. The women are all gorgeous and most certainly never had to be in their masculine energy outside of the Signal house. Mingyu acting as the prize is making them come towards him because it's mysterious and confusing as to why he is passive towards them. Yisoo is assertive, extraverted, and dominant while Ji Young is extraverted but submissive. As Mingyu is submissive himself he is drawn to dominant Yi Soo. Him confusing Jiyoung this way is not ok..

When Yisoo called Minkyu with his name not oppa , it means they were already close but the PD of the show as always want to make the show more interesting , they do evil editing, cut every Y and M interaction in the house . FOCUS ON JIYOUNG
This is basically what editing can do, its can make someone good look like asshole, and we as viewer will fall for it easily, i can't blame when they reacting like that coz thats how i react when i watch it for the first time, gosh now i feel bad for mingyu and yisoo, they turn both MG and YS as a villain for the sake of JY storyline

Well I honestly feel bad for both yisoo and mingyu as the editing is only done from jiyoung perspective and overly dramatic plus I personally like mingyu yisoo together as they look much comfortable. Jiyoung is also good but I personally find her too overwhelming and I think mingyu doesn't feel the same amount of of liking for jiyoung than she does. So its also burdensome for him as well in the house as almost every girl has tried to persue. Plus yisoo personality is easy to get along with.

Actually i know why mingyu leaning more towards yisoo we cant deny that mingyu is attracted to both girls but i think shes more connected to yisoo more than jiyoung even tho they went to more official dates but take note those two dates are just 2 days meanwhile yisoo is with mingyu more than jiyoung when thy were ion the house... YS i get, she's kinda cool and from her perspective alone, MY has not shown any real uncertainty to her apart from the "we are done" which can be seen as a bump esp considering they were acting so close during the amusement park date. i think both girls are too good for MY in any case.
I think it comes down to Korean guys (or Asian guys in general?) prefer wife type material girls which is more Jiyoung type. Yisoo can seem threatening for guys because obviously you can't f*ck with her which I love hahaha but sadly not all guys can handle that
Why do i feel like Korean reality show specifically dating show. The candidates are too robotic for some reason, it feels as if they all have similar personalities or maybe because they are shy? Well i know Jiyoung is famous among the other girls but tbh I really thought her personality is just the cute innocent girl that is mostly what we see in typical girl with no standout personality but she is definitely nice. As for Yisoo she definitely has the personality of a girl that you want to get to know more she is not the shy girly type. At least not as much as Jiyoung but although some of her moves like when she ask who drives better and the way she kept call out Jiyoung by asking Mingyu gives me the bitchy attitude too but all in all. I just felt like Korean show is moving on too fast thats why it makes all candidates feels as if they’re just making a fun choice in dating, there were not some sort of like chemistry between any of the couples as much as I expected.

3 hours is for round turn trip, each trip would be about 1.5 hours (91 km). But yeah, they were way too mean to Jiyoung T.T
