Just finished the video. The deck you received is the same size whereas the ones I've seen talked about are not the same. The Faceted Garden is very much smaller than the Illuminated Earth. That is disappointing to me because combining them was a big expectation for me. 😥
Really, that is very strange! I wonder if there were two sizes available or something and I didn't notice. I haven't watched any other videos on it yet, I was waiting until I got my filmed, but now I'll have to go check that out. I would have been really disappointed if they weren't the same size. Boho Tarot my thought is that it was an issue that was brought to her attention and that has since been corrected. Alas that isn't what I received. Glad it has been fixed though. 👍❤️

I feel I am in the minority with these decks. I've tried to like them but for me .. the textures are too much for me that they distract me and instead of finding a message .. I get lost in the textures that I am confused and lost in the small details instead of seeing the bigger picture. I kind of prefer the faceted garden a bit more because I can make sense of most of the cards but I found myself looking at cards in Illuminated earth and wondering what am I supposed to see or think of this ..
I guess I am lacking the vision most people have with these .. I wish I could relate and connect with them .. but sadly it is not for me ..
I still love seeing all the cards .. they are so artistic .. :)
You're definitely not the only one, I've heard several people say they struggled to connect with it. I think that's one of the gray things about having access to some many decks on the market, there's something for everyone. 🙂 Thank you for watching. ❤️
@@DawnMichelleTarot it’s the “I want to enjoy it too” feeling. I recognize it’s beauty but I see it as a piece of art and I worry if I don’t get it to look back a few years later and wonder why didn’t I 😅. You know how we grow into things and I wonder if I will grow into it .. exactly like the Tyldwick tarot. 2017 me wasn’t open to exploration in my tarot reading. I didn’t see the depth in it until it was too late but then I believe if it is meant to be .. I will know! I will get the gut feelings to buy it regardless

Hi there. Love all your mods and repurposing. Have you ever done anything on the Voyager Tarot? I've had the deck since the 80s and yet it is not one that I enjoy working with. The stone coloured surrounds with labels and very busy pictures tend to force me to follow the prescribed patterns. Re trimming - the tops and bottoms could be cut away but It seems as if a small part of the card backs on each side will be cut away. Would love to hear your comments. Thanks, Gay
Thank you so much, I am so glad you enjoy them. I don't have the Voyager Tarot as I've seen it in a person a few times and just has a bit too much of a chaotic energy for me. As for trimming it, I tend not to worry too much about the backs, especially if it's a minor loss in trimming. But that could also be that I don't lay my cards face-down so I really don't see the backs too much. 🙂 I did a search for mods on the deck on UA-cam and found a few videos. I always find it helpful to see what other people have done and sometimes that helps me figure out how I want to approach a mod. I hope that helps! I also suggest doing one side at a time and save those sides that you are most concerned about until last, that way you can trim part of the deck and see how it looks before you decide if you want to keep going or just do a partial trim. 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️

Very pretty! I recently decided to buy one of Claire's decks and I chose The Illuminated Earth deck. The keywords appealed to me more and there seems to be less use of pastels in the art. I really like the borders and the backs on the Illuminated Earth too. And yes....I didn't like the gilding on the new deck either. Now I want to gold stamp my deck! thank you for the walkthrough.

Both decks are beautiful and together they are luscious! Dawn, do you work with combined decks to increase your amount of card choices, or is there another reason?
Most yes, it creates a bigger variety of options. Oracles tend to have fewer cards and so if you use them a lot it can get a bit repetitive (although there is meaning in that too I'm sure!) I love to combine them to create a larger, more varied deck, especially for those that I use a lot. I did the same with my Cosmic Reading Cards and Blue Messiah cards, it creates more variety in a reading. Sometimes it's also to build a more personal oracle, such as the case with my Work Your Light and Starseed Oracle. In that case, I remove cards that don't work for me and create my own sort of curated oracle. I do have a video on that on my channel if you are interested. It's called the Lightseed. I am so impressed by how you are able to make decks “your very own” by modding them or taking out cards that don’t work for you, or combining decks and even switching card meanings, like you did for that one deck... and then also adding bits and pieces of ephemera to enhance your experience of a deck. I really, really love watching you make these kinds of changes. I think it’s extremely creative of you!
