1993 Hurricane Opal struck NW panhandle of FL. It went from a tropical low to a Cat3 and made landfall in 72 hours. Literally, zero time to prepare let alone evacuate. Thanks for being more forthcoming than the NHC
I remember Opal in the Atl
Ya know the people preaching bogus skyfalling are the ones who get trapped in their homes when
1995
@@dmana3172 Yeah, that is correct.
@petermarshall7352 wait a minute,,, are we going to get another in my area since opal??? God, I hope not! I have solar panels on my roof, and I paid $54,000!
Nothing stopping it to turn into a monster
What a bold prediction. Somewhere between Louisiana and Florida. You must have a crystal ball to have come up with that.
It’s called “weather models”
If you don't like it don't watch it, then be unprepared when it hits.
I could literally send you a photo of mine....and I'd be watching MS to AL most.
I'm in Mississippi don't say that lol @r.katiekane252
@@ryancook5479 Not so much here but maybe here….waves hand across the whole gulf..
Reminds me of Hurricane Micheal 2018 in October. Grew over 3 days. Expected to be a cat 4 but was a 5 when hitting the panhandle. Always be prepared to pack n go.
This is why long distance predictions are only made by incompetent meteorologist to try to attract people to tune in to their reports. As a person who has saw many Hurricanes in my life, one thing I know is that they are completely unpredictable! The best prediction does not have anything to do with history, it has everything too do with the weather patterns perhaps made when the hurricane is only 3 days out. Even then things can happen, and the Hurricane can move Easterly, or Westerly in minutes. I will bet that this is the first thing taught in Meteorology 101.
"Has saw" 😂
Bleh! I love Florida, and have lived here over half my life. But I am getting Soooo Tired of dealing with watching the weather 5 months of the year, wondering if all my crap is gonna be flooded or blown away. And that doesn't count worrying over insurance rates, taxes, and the ever present heat that seems to last longer and be hotter every year. Yet here I sit. 😂 🥵🌀⛈️⛱️
This seems like the same setup that flung hurricane Michael towards the Panhandle of Florida in October 2018.
I'll stick with the NHC.
These guys should be ashamed to scare the public like this. Follow the NHC forecast with this system.
Anyone can find the GFS model which shows a hurricane hitting the gulf coast next Saturday. It's shown that for the last 3 days. Yesterday it was showing Florida and today it is showing Louisiana/MIssissippi. Not sure why the bald dude is acting like Accuweather should get credit for this. I knew about this 3 days ago when I looked at the GFS model. Plus the NHC has been showing an area of concern in this area on their 7 day tropical outlook for the last 2 days at least.
The knot in my stomach will subside in November, the knot in my stomach will subside in November.
I can never be mad at warnings…. Thank you….
Y'all must be that bored 😂 tracking a storm that doesn't even exist 😅
They’re not tracking it; they’re saying it’s likely. You need to use your time better.
You must not live on the Gulf Coast where we appreciate and take watches/warnings like this very seriously. Having extra days to prepare can make a world of difference of how one makes it through a storm.
Louisiana just had a hurricane wtf 🤦♂️
I know right.
Weather warfare. Nothing natural about this.
@@johannedillworth7413Was it weather warfare in the 1800s?
Uh, yeah it's called hurricane season for a reason. Nothing new. We got hit by 4 in 6 weeks in Florida in 2004.
@@Trahzy Pop up instant Cat 5 storms right off shore like Michael are not normal. They can juice them up and evidently do. IDA was one.
Thank you for being more serious about this and making this call. Most weather sources are simply waiting for this to form but as you explained, it is best to prepare now and know that it is going to form and impact the United States.
Coworker was just 10 miles off the coast of Alabama and said the water temps were 81 degrees...
Thank you for your video prayers to everyone
Thank you..Sarasota Fl here.
Need rain.. Sarasota here too..
I appreciate your forecast
It`s a nothing burger now
I'd be most concerned in MS and AL
You may be the only weather outfit predicting a high level of development but the National Hurricane Center is not even showing this as a Current Disturbance, it does not even rate a yellow X. What do you know that the NHC doesn’t know?
Look at the 7-day graphic. Understand the models take what just happened and extrapolate out 12 days.
You can see some models at tropical tidbits
NHC has been showing this since last weekend.
Great job pushing that far foreward on the forecast. Everyone else says wait till its closer. Thank You ... Subscribed and liked ;)
Wrong. It’s just to scare you
@@thecastle09 it is a start into being able to predict storms further out. Technology is constantly evolving and with ai who knows how far ahead we can track storms in the future. ;)
Jon, you are the best meteorologist. ❤
You're the only ones predicting this? Then you are just after the fear effect, right? Watching people rushing to the store for suppliies which they may not need. You must be proud of yourself.
These guys are hyping this system. At one point, there was potential for a problem. As of today, this whole situation is a nothing burger.
If is a big word
Pretty much pay attention to this, a likely issue next week in the Gulf
Ugh...when you say 'Florida' it's almost like saying 'CA or TX' Lol (aka *massive states) 'maybe' simply specify which PART of FL? Otherwise, sorry, feels a bit click baity. I follow a # of other way less known meteorologists & channels who DO absolutely break things down much more precisely.
hmmm hello from Florida. Water temperatures in the Gulf are quite cool, actually, for this time of year ....
I have a feeling it's going to hit Georgia
Send it boys!!!
They are concerned with getting views.
Seems like fear mongering. Maybe because the weather is not exciting enough for you two.
Get the Honda store and trailer park thanks God....they robbed me😂😂😂😂❤
Horrible coverage. Sensational crap.
Reason… ratings
Ratings on UA-cam? No!
Sounds like a false prophet preaching weather instead of a false religion
If you are the only source, have you considered you are wrong?
The thing is... they're not the only source. There are several who are watching this very closely along with the National Hurricane Center. It has the potential for very rapid, intense development.
@@watchdogu.s.a.8973…incorrect about the NHC, looked them up moments ago and they do not even have this area listed as a Current Disturbance, not even a yellow X.
They are just trying to warn…. Best to prepare than to be sorry…. Berly killed 38 because of lack of preparation
The bald head guy is over doing it. Calm down sir. lol
Sea life can't take the higher ocean tenperatures.
lol Jesus created it and he has it under control
It can't take poachers or more poisons
Trying to get them clicks… Lol
Why are you the only one???
"The only known source." That's not an accurate statement
Yeah... that wasn't accurate AND his grammar was bad, as well.
HADES KARMA
Unfortunately no rain for western Florida
It's coming to New Orleans as a cat 5 moving 5mph.....
@@davidsumrall1523 no it's not lol you don't know we're it's going stop assuming stuff
@@youngmoneysaint813 Yes Think you.
No it is not. However if your curse does come to pass I hope you don’t live out the year
Whaat 😳
Am I missing something or doesn't the map at 1:55 say that Mexico/Texas is more probable historically than Florida? Why keep saying that Florida is more probable?
It upgrades almost every day 😡😡😡 even if it’s only by 10%, and this is all while there’s still nothing there.

It's just sad. It's like ghost busters.. tracking something that isn't there. But then again. the higher the "threat" of something coming, the more views they get. But i guess the weather weapons does help
Do you realize that ALL weather forecasts are about something that hasn't happened - yet. Forecast > Future. It's just sad, as you say, that so many people don't seem to the ability to comprehend that simple concept. When a tornado watch is issued... it is for something that hasn't happened but conditions are prime for it to occur. It's the same with this potential hurricane. The reason they're talking so much about this is that, based on all available data, this has the potential to not only form but to become a major... possibly even a category 5... hurricane in a very short amount of time. People won't have a lot of prep time.
@@watchdogu.s.a.8973 Big oil fanboys and smackhead anarchists constantly troll weather forecasts. A good analogy is, that as weather disasters increase due to global warming the more rats you'll see coming out of the sewers.
Well, I"m certainly glad meterologists understand their field of expertise better than you do. It's just sad you don't understand enough of what they do to think it's real. Good thing they know a bit more than you do about using computer models and data for weather prediction, or we'd be back to holding up a finger to figure out which way the wind was blowing, and whoops, big storm just wiped out the coast again. Sit down and eat your crayons and let the adults handle it. Mmkay?
@@HughLlewellyn Awe. that's awesome for you.
Cat 4 hitting Tampa, placing my bet now
U sound like u want a cat 4 to hit Florida saying u put your bet of Florida
It's very hard for a hurricane to hit Tampa Florida directly
