    Ugadi Thali - Karnataka Style | Ugadi Festival Special Menu | South Indian 7 Thali Easy Recipes
    Recipe - 1 Obbattu
    1 cup chana dal
    4 cups water
    1 cup jaggery powder
    1/4 cup grated coconut
    ½ tsp cardamom powder
    1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour or all-purpose flour
    a pinch of salt
    1/4 tsp baking soda
    1/4 tsp turmeric powder
    1 tablespoon ghee
    Oil
    Recipe - 2 Obbattu Saaru
    2 cups dal water
    1 tsp chilli powder
    2 tsp coriander powder
    1/4 tsp turmeric powder
    1/2 tsp cumin powder
    Salt to taste
    1 tbsp jaggery powder
    2 green chillies
    1 large onion
    1 tsp tamarind paste
    1 tbsp oil
    1/2 - 1 tsp mustard seeds
    1/4 tsp hing/asafetida
    Curry leaves
    2 tbsp grated coconut
    Coriander
    Recipe - 3 Beans Palya
    2 tbsp oil
    1/2 tsp mustard seeds
    1 tbsp chana dal
    1/2 tbsp urad dal
    Curry leaves
    1 tsp fresh ginger
    1/4 tsp hing/asafetida
    3 - 4 green chillies
    1 onion
    250 g green beans
    Salt to taste

    1 tbsp urad dal
    2 tbsp peanut
    1/2 tsp hing/asafetida

    3/4 cup grated raw mango
    Salt to taste
    2 cups cooked rice
    1/4 cup grated coconut

    Recipe - 6 Udduna Bonda
    1/2 cup urad dal
    A pinch of hing/asafetida
    1/4 tsp baking soda
    1 tbsp grated coconut
    2 - 3 curry leaves, chopped
    1 small green chilli
    1 tsp fresh ginger
    1 tbsp coriander
    1/4 tsp pepper
    1 tbsp rice flour
    Salt to taste
    Oil for frying
