GRACIAS.!
I love your videos. No long, painfully slow explanations, no idle chatter, just straight to the point, TOP-NOTCH content. You have been (and continue to be) a part of my musical journey!
Merci Stijn Wauters !!!, encore du bon travail !!!, pour le plaisirs de tous. Thank you Stijn Wauters !!!, more good work !!!, for the pleasure of all.
Thanks a lot sir... You're really appreciated 💙 I dunno if we're permitted to ask for favours here, buh I'd love for you to make a lesson video of inner voicings/movements (don't really know what it's called in jazz😁) with this your amazing teaching style I'll be very grateful🤲
This video is wonderfully clear. I really appreciate that you demonstrate these concepts slowly and gradually. Teaching is not about the teacher, it's about the student experience. Too many internet jazz instructors just focus on playing fast and talking a lot. I look forward to watching more of your videos and learning.
Thank you for generosity in show all inspirative pedagogic teach you do. I consider this channel The top best i take motivation inovation. It's better than schools of music. Great regards from Brasil.
HI, excellent videos. Would it be possible to add a notation to express for each tune or "lesson " if it is for beginner/intermediate or advanced player ? Thanks
Hello! Wow - you are one gifted man! Where do you get (how can I) the sheet music for your practice sessions on diff examples? Especially the video on block chords - love it!
Thank you! You can find the download links to the pdf files (with or without annotations) in the description box underneath each video (you will see "Free pdf + download link"). When you click the link, the download should start immediately! Hope it works!
Most examples in this video are based on shell voicings (1-3-7 or 1-7-3) or open voicings (aka spread voicings) (shells + extensions). I usually start on Dm7 with a specific but common voicing and then try to use smooth voice leading to play the rest of the II V I (I also try to create an interesting melody with the topnotes of the voicings). But no block chords in this video (that’s a different topic and sound). I have some tutorials on shell voicings and open voicings on my channel that might be of help. Good luck!
My Man, all you need are some Lyrics and you could be the next Van Heusen. Seriously, find an "Ira Gershwin" or better yet, write your own lyrics. Everyone of these "examples" are definitely Song worthy.

You bet.
When you get the time, Kenny Kirkland’s solo on “Solar” (heard on the One For Dewey album) is worthy of dissection.
Brilliant!
Thank you, very interesting !
Absolutely great stuff. #7 is really special

Question: are you using block cords in this video along the technique of voice leading? I try to understand.
