The spot on the side of the cell is likely the cell that had the temperature sensor on it. These came from medical equipment. They are usually 90-100% capacity. Mine have been great. Only killed 2 cells and it was my fault not the cells .😊
yea @7:41 that chip in the paint, that is where they peeled off a temperature sensor. the bare spot is positive (+) should be covered with electrical tape.
I'm about to add a RP150.4 so I can have a mids and highs amp with the RP2000.1D without totally taking my voltage. I have a hybrid with a 20 AMP RC charger keeping my lithium topped up as to not overly stress my 12V system in the hybrid.
Nice build, curious if you may know, i am switching from a rp1500.1d to rp2000.1d for two evl 12 at 1 ohm, am i going to notice a difference between the two amps or did i spend money for nothing. Thanks for any insight and thanks for sharing some knowledge. Have a good day

Got a 48ah bank im working on to push a pair of audio legion AL1600.1 strapped and a AL110.4 on the doors. Ill customs has some nice bus bars as well and got mine on sale. Coulda went with a 32ah bank but trying to keep the stock 105 amp alternator so went with the 48ah. New to lithium myself and still Waiting on my cells but you made it look pretty easy to assemble.
My build is in my daily driver. I started to build my own bank but space was a issue for what I'm pushin. I ended up taking the easy way out and got the jp40 battery..
Good lookin bruh, I was bout ta drop almost $500 on 2 agm batteries for my 2 RP2k’s but I’m gonna build 1 of these for each amp and actually save some paper, I’ll let ya know how it goes! 👍🏾😮
Got a 64ah lithium bank powering 2 sundown u 12 with stock 90 alt no voltage drop running 2k wolfram amp but I can upgrade to a 3k but 2k is good enough for me also my box is 4cu with aeroport

What up big dog i have 4 headways i was gonna try and build a bank for my f150 but i dont have my truck anymore can i send them to you they just sitting here. Im not gonna go big in my Charger im just gonna throw 1 of my DDX 10s in it on about 1500 watts whenever i get a box and new amp. I did buy them used off the headway site
So you basically hook 4 in a series and another 4 in series and the parallel them together? I’m only running an Audio Control LC1.800 to a pair of Image Dynamics 12’s and it is stressing my GMC’s charging system pretty bad.

I know this video has a little bit of age to it but can anyone answer a couple of questions? I built a 24ah headway about 6 months ago. Am I good to just install this the way it sits with voltage, or should I charge it before installing. Will the alternator completely charge the bank if it's lower on volts from sitting or should it be charged completely from the go.
someone near me is selling those huge red nortstars, those 1200$ ones. he asking 200$ a pop, im going to look at them this week to test em. hopefully i can get a few for the low low and save some $
You and your viewers should know that when you balance the cells by hooking all the positive terminals together and negative terminals together, be careful! Make sure that all the cells are close to the same voltage. If one cell is a lot lower voltage than the others, the other cells will push a lot of amps into the low cell, potentially burning out the wire, or ruining the cell by charging it too fast. Please do a lot of research before using these cells! They are very powerful and they can release that power very quickly!
Hey bro could I add this to a trailer speaker box with a jp234 amp and 8 Sylvester’s 6.5s how long does the headway last before it drains I would charge before using the speaker trailer box
Hey man I don't know if you got your answer yet but I have a huge headway lithium bank (96 ah) and these cells are not for storing a big charge. These are fast in fast out type of batteries. Not like a agm or lead acid battery. Hope this helps
@@Pittsburgh-412 thank you sir I really do appreciate the answer but ok just wanted to make sure it could handle about 3 hours of playtime on they power alone
I would check the resting voltage before charging. If it’s already resting at 13.5 or something like that you’ll be good. They can be charged to like 14.6 volts

The casing is usually negative but regardless have to be weary of that kind of damage. Can cause a short.

It's working perfectly. I haven't had any issues with it. @@mikeapplegate292
mines a daily but 50 % my tools in the truck I'm shook of lithium because of ev fires ect ...im have to look into longevity I guess
You like this setup more then the down4sound 6.0 batteries? The down4sound battery is on sale right now I don’t know which one to go with.
@titoham-DCXLs people have had good luck with them but I have heard it's better to build a bank.
You have 8 of them so that 24v,that should supply way more then 2000w if 4 is equal to 12v right?

Go for it bro this is a 16ah bank should be good got that amp
So does this mean I can wire my amps directly to the cells rather than my car battery and have separate power and not draining my alternator??
You’ll need a battery isolator
Love the video, what size of battery isolater, and how to you hook it up. Thank you.
I need bus bars for a 8 cell, where can I find them?
Project DB
