Guido Deiro (1886 - 1950) was the first piano accordionist to appear on most records of the time. He left home to avoid an arranged marriage and played songs around Seattle for many years, before being discovered by vaudeville agent and he was brought to the San Francisco Theater. He became an instant celebrity, and his music career was kicked off with strength. He would make appearances in film and have several world tours. His activity slowed during the 30s, and by 1947 illness had made him rather weak. He would die in 1950 due to heart failure.
