Aren’t Attends also made by Proctor & Gamble? I am new to having to use diapers for medical reasons, and just recently had insurance cover the cost, and I have been using a brand made by Cardinal. Cardinal makes all kinds of health products. The diapers are good, but when I do put them on I find myself adjusting and readjusting the tapes. The diaper will stay put for a while, but eventually start to fall down and sometimes this has happened when I am out and about and can’t easily get to the bathroom. Ideally, how far up the front should the diaper be? I always have heard the mid stomach is a good rule of thumb?
@@ReviewingLiterallyEverything Well, I am glad they appear to be working for you. I’m pretty sure that this brand will work for ,me, but I just hate the guesswork. I’m not going to get into detail here, but there have been things going on with my doctor to where I have been unable to get help with this at this time. Not sure where you are, but every facet of health care here in western New York is insanely backed up.
It's good that you found something that works, like baby brands their is bunch of adult brands, but some do fit differently. You mentioned the supply company you went through provided with a few brands to try not sure if they provided you with a Youth size. Depending on person Youth or Small is usually next size after 6-7 Youth is cut little different, it's designed for older kids & teens depending on brand some cover similar size range as small just made for the older kid. If you get supplies through insurance which some cover certain brands another high quality brand is Tranquility they will send you samples(most bigger brands will send sample) & if you go through say Medicaid Tranquility has specialist that maybe able to help get you them through the states program(they have good features & used by many special needs parents). One good thing with choosing a major brands if & when your child grows if your still happy with them like baby brands you can just get next size up. Also if you find you need added absorbency they do sell things called booster pads & if you go through insurance some pay for them(know few parents that pay out of pocket) but given your child is 10 you probably an expert on what is and isn't covered. Figured I would share info on youth size Incase you weren't aware. Also if you didn't know though your videos can help others with special needs or disabilities, but dark side there are those that search for videos about diapers, some might be disabled but some live a certain lifestyle or fetish, there really isn't anything you can do but figured give you heads up even though the info is great because brands sometimes change products & sounds like you noticed some differences unlike baby diapers no adult brand is made same. Also if you didn't know to be discreet though can cause confusion in adult brands their refered as briefs some people will say tabbed or pullup but many healthcare providers and others won't called them diapers out of respect for the patient.
Thanks for sharing! Yeah, I totally understand the whole diapers/briefs discussion. For our family, they're both just words. We actually have another UA-cam channel in which we talk about many more things relating to caring for our medically complex daughter. ☺️
You need to try the Better Dry Small plastic backed diapers. They are proportioned well. Like an augmented baby diaper except like a baby diaper from the 80s. They hold more than Attends could ever hold.
My diaper is blue stripe and get green when i pee 🤔 But your is yellow and turn blue when the diaper is almost blue itself i wonder why they don't make it so it turn black or more outstanding colors
They do well for our purposes. That being said, our daughter doesn't move around on her own, so I don't know how they would do with an ambulatory child.
They're okay if you're constantly changing or she's not drinking regularly(to an extent). In my experience they're not great. The lack of leak guards, poor odor control, low capacity, poor tape tabs, clumping, and most importantly the skin protection liner against the skin is really ineffective. As a user of these products, I never recommend them to people or most insurance provided brands or store brands that people unfortunately get stuck with them and have no idea that there's muuuuuuch better options available. They usually always have the same issues. They feel cold and clammy (slimy) pretty quickly and always gave me skin issues. The absorbent material is much like a sponge in the sense that it absorbs but can also squeeze it to wring it out just by sitting on it. The padding always clumps up when used and bunches up in the middle making it feel even worse. The outer shell around the tapes deteriorate and it loosens the fit. not just that, but the urine seems to sweat through the breathable material and it always gets into the clothes and smells like urine. I know it sounds weird and gross, but if caretakers actually knew how the product feels and works for themselves, only then would they consider a more premium brand. Best way to do that without going to the extreme would be to get a wad of toilet paper and put 50lbs of pressure in the middle (your child's weight) and see how the moisture transfers to it.
If you can buy it in a box store then it's not going too be worth it. Best bet is to go to an online medical store and get your diapers. They cast more but last waaay longer so in the long run cost less.
My name Bill Thompson I am a diaper lover I been wearing diapers for 40 years an full time for over 20 years I now wearing north shore maga max disp diapers and there supreme disposable diapers during the day you can order a sample pack of them to try 😊
I have tried Attends briefs, I didn't like them. They don't absorb well. Once you wet, you feel wet! Good diapers pull wetness away from your skin into the inner core, Attends products didn't do that. Also, with my chronic pain and limited mobility, tab-style diapers are nearly impossible to put on. I live by myself, so there's no one here to help me get ready for bed time.
@@ReviewingLiterallyEverything I tried they Attends brand pullups. I was not impressed. They leaked on the first wetting. As far as pullups, I prefer Tena Intimates Overnight underwear

Those are decent for some but I think you’ll find them to not be as good as you’d hope as she gets older and or bigger and has larger voids. Look into Northshore diapers and confidry’s 24/7 diapers as these are the best I’ve found at affordable prices
Not sure if these are the same ones that you can get over the over the counter catalogs but the quality is not great will not take flooding and ended up leaking all over the carpet. The best store brands of diapers are Walgreens although if the person has sensitive skin they will cause some irritation. Expensive, but the abena plastic back briefs are good, as well as the Northshore care products. Tranquility ATN are a cheaper alternative but this has caused some irritation with me as well. Top of the line for a tens products are the attends Premier briefs if you have the chance to try them out.

The older Attends by P&G with the soft plastic were the best. The plastic was pretty much identical to the pampers from that time.
