I love how goofy the cutscene sounds, honestly I think that would’ve been the approach, the art style suggests so plus sonic exe isn’t really a “scary” person if you like really look at him. The interactions between them both also suggest that bf doesn’t really fear him, which makes the goofy sounds seem all the more appropriate.
I mean canon BF (canon as in the original game) is either very confidant thinking he can get out of a situation, or is just too stupid to be scared at all. So you might be right.
What I love about these recent versions of YCR is the fact that you can actually see him get angry. In 2.0, Xenophanes just has the same cocky grin on his face the whole time when the main deal with the song is that Xeno's pissed off at BF for not, well, dying.
