Hi Darren. This video is so timely for me. Your bench drill setup is just what I have been looking for. Do you have a video covering its design and build? Currently my new bench drill sits on the rubber mat on top of my tool trolley and I wanted to bolt it to a wooden base secured to the steel trolley top. Your design looks like the ideal setup. It even has micro jig groves that I want to put on my workbench. PS I started watching your UA-cam channel because of the 3D printed designs.
Hi Ewen, sadly I didn’t film the building of the drill press table. To be honest I didn’t think anyone would be interested. But you can build one without a video. Start by making wooden base to fit the top of the tool trolley, then, with the drill press in place buildup around the side of it. Remove the drill and finish off with a piece that covers the entire top. Route a hole out of this piece so you can now drop the drill back in. Route a V groove in line with the one in the aluminium base and add the dovetail slots for the clamps.
Happy New Year Darren! Great to see a video covering an interesting assortment of quality tools. I have the T-600 and agree it’s very good. I will be checking out the Bosch drill press as it looks like a beauty. Cheers 👍😎🇦🇺
Darren, Happy New Year. Great video, especially the base for your bench drill. I have the scheppach version which is very similar and have thinking of how to put a base on it. Your video was the perfect answer so thanks.
