yeah it was so unfortunate. I really liked his plays against AA and LSF. SYQ was also on fire for this tournament with his accurate smashes down the lines, would have loved to see them go at it.

He made a promise to his outgoing coach, WTM as a parting gift, they would like to achieve something memorable together, unfortunately it was hindered by his injury. Hope to see him bounce back stronger and capture the Malaysia Open title next Jan 2025.

Just my observation, LZJ landing after smashes seems hard on both feet rather than smooth and light. Maybe that's why he tend to get ankle injury. He his playing so well, hope his future coach focus on his techniques to reduce injuries. Sad he missed his chance to likely be the champion in WTF.
@ddmax90 major culprits of his setbacks are : his too tight, unbreathable, suffocating shoe ( thinking these could enhance his speed ? ) and his consistent breathing technique throughout the match ( O² ! ! ! ).
