@@OAColeYou can’t be that stupid if you’re planning on taking this test. On #8 the reason he put 3 3/3 is because it equal to 4 as a whole number. He used that to subtract the 1 1/3 (sum of the equation) to get 2 2/3. So finally if you subtract 4 with the 2 2/3 you get the 1 1/3. It’s very simple.
@@AshRektum We do offer a math refresher class the night before an exam from 5pm to 8pm. When you receive your letter for a test date, the information for that class will be there.
when when it comes to adding or subtracting fractions you are looking for the least common denominator in order to actually be able to add or subtract the numerators. LCD = the product that you get when you multiply a denominator by one of its multiples, and all the denominator share this product. A multiplication chart helps with visualizing this.
6 - Q = 7. He adds Q to each side to bring the Q over to make it positive. So the equation then becomes 6 = 7 + Q. Then you'll subtract 7 from both sides to get rid of the 7. Equation then becomes -7 + 6 = Q. So Q = -1
You have to find the common denominator for 1/5, 1/4 and 1/2. You could do this by multiplying 4 and 5 to get the common denominator of 20. 5,4, & 2 can all by divide by 20. This is why 20 is the common denominator.
You want to solve one letter at a time, so being able to cancel out the Q by multiplying everything by -1 makes it easier to solve for P. Once P is solved, you are then able to solve for Q.
@@camarenafam I did it this past November. I passed everything except math. I got a High School grade level but I left some questions unanswered. They only give you like 5-10mins to answer 40 questions. I’m retaking it again and hopefully pass the math section this time.
@@josephcruz7787 No, the test is divided up into 3 or 4 sections if I remember correctly. For the math portion you MUST score 100% proficiency if not you FAIL the entire test. The math portion is the MOST important compared to the rest of the exam. For the other sections you must score a minimum of 15pts per section out of 30pts. As long as you pass the math with 100% and get a minimum of 15pts on the other sections you’ll pass the test. Each section is timed though, math is approx 4-5mins for 40 questions and 2-5mins for the other sections so you really have to pace yourself.

Thank you so much for this I was stressing about my upcoming test and this just took it all away
Wish you could explain how you got certain answers
Need a new instructor for these videos. He’s not the best at explaining. Seems like he just knows the answers and doesnt even know how he got them.
yea I agree. #11 was absurd lmao

By chance do you know how much time is given to do the whole test?

Have you took the test yet?
On local 104 this is how the math test will be similar to this
It would have been nice to have a better break as to why you got some of your answers 😅
Like which? incase you actually werent sure
For number 8 wouldn’t be 4/3 which equals 1 1/3?
Can you explain number six and seven how do you got 20 in 8?

Are all the questions the same?
From my experience, when I was trying to get in, practice questions are the same, but the real tests were completely different
I don’t get why he moves the Q to the right on the last question 🤨
6 - Q = 7. He adds Q to each side to bring the Q over to make it positive. So the equation then becomes 6 = 7 + Q. Then you'll subtract 7 from both sides to get rid of the 7. Equation then becomes -7 + 6 = Q. So Q = -1
How did you solve number 6 I couldn't understand?

You legit got a problem or 2 wrong
All this person does is give out the answers but gives a very poorly explanation of how he got the answers which is the most important part

How many questions are on the test?
It's timed, so you have to do everything fast
