I recently found this song on Spotify. And I have to admit something. This is how I grew up. My dad was hard on me, never believed I would make it to where I am now. My mother, bless her heart, always believed in me. But even though i had someone backing me, I felt alone. That is, until I found comfort in the loneliness and darkness that surrounded me. I guess what I'm getting at is, you're never truly alone, and you will always find comfort in someone or something.

This is a terrifyingly accurate representation of every stage of my life thus far. My life took a turn for the worse when I was 12 due to bullying and feeling like I didn't fit in, and I gained ~130 pounds. I started hanging out with the wrong crowd and felt like shit every day. I ended up leaving that school not too long after that and enrolling in online school, which completely flipped things around for me. In the past few years I've been trying to turn things around; I've started lifting weights, lost 80 pounds, and I have an interview with M.I.T next week!

I doubt anyone will really see this and honestly I couldn't care less, I just need to gush about this song. I discovered it on Spotify a week or two ago and have been listening to it on repeat since. The lyrics are deep, full of meaning, layer upon layer upon layer of hurt and growth and everything in between. And I need to talk about the best drops- when I first heard this song they literally gave me chills. The quality of this song puts it above everything else, the music is impeccable and draws you in, the lyrics tell a story, and your voice is magnificent. If you see this, Nico, which I doubt you will, continue making music like this. You have a great future ahead and if this is what you want to do then stick to it. I can kinda relate to this. I have asthma and I felt like I was walking the world alone. I almost missed my big bros birthday because I was in the ER. I was scared but i moved and i got off 10 meds! I also remember fainting and my brother carrying me. It was a rough times. I felt so alone and afriad. Im so glad I had surgery on my adnoids otherwise i would be like this forever.
