For the past few years I have focused on tying and fishing "Original" patterns using "Original" materials..... with amazing success. it takes a bit of time to research the origins of the patterns and find the fundamental period materials or reasonable substitutes. No flash, no uv resins, no 18/0 GSP thread or hybrid feathers..... I mainly use feathers from local "Barnyard Chickens" and deer hair, muskrat, squirrel, mink, racoon, groundhog and game bird feathers from local hunters. I also have a couple buddies who help harvest roadkill critters.... not forgetting starlings, doves, cow birds and sparrows found along the roads. It's been a lot of fun and the project continues to grow. Take Care
