At least Thor had a pretty substantial character arc to explain his change in characterization. Part of the problem with Hulk is that he gets no character arc whatsoever to explain his massive changes between movies.

@@Daddy_Savage23 Thanos has had combat training and experience, whereas Hulk is a doctor with no fight training. Maybe if he was a marine or a boxer or an MMA fighter he could've beaten Thanos. Thanos was using great fighting skills. Just saying.

This scene is actually great commentary about the hulk, especially considering the final battle, because both Black Widow and Thor try to speak to Bruce Banner in Hulk form, which they cant do, whereas in the battle of new york, Captain America refers to him as Hulk, and he follows his command
Such a shame what they did to this character. They made him a punchline.
Yea they had him lose to an ironman suit and then had him too much of a coward to even come out lol. Good god did they humiliate this character. Like maybe the worst character assassination I've ever seen? By the end of Endgame, I was just embarrassed for him whenever he'd pop up on screen for a moment. Did whoever created the character get exposed as being not a perfect human on twitter or something? Is that why they demo'd the character so badly?

The only problem they had with all the films leading up to Endgame was how often they changed the level of power Hulk was supposed to have.
In one film he was feared by everyone and could easily destroy everyone as well, in others he is quickly losing a fist fight against Thanos within 30 seconds. It just didn't make sense.
Thanos isn't some weak guy tho...
Thanos is a titan, all of which are incredibly strong and far beyond the average human

I loved this look of Thor and it's even my favorite, he looks like a true warrior and approaches or emulates his classic appearance with his arms bare, although of course he doesn't have his gold belt or his yellow boots or helmet but I feel like it's a combination of classic-ultimate elements and it looks super-cool, even in Thor Ragnarok they gave very cool aspects of Thor and even in Infinity War it's very badass.
The thing is, I’m fine with Hulk being beaten by Thanos.
What I’m not fine with is his total emasculation afterward.
If the characters in Endgame showed their true characteristics, they would have destroyed Thanos and his team very easily. No one can withstand this weight. I'm not even counting the doctor and the witch

When I watched this movie in theaters I had never seen the 2008 hulk movie, I never read the comics the only marvel superheros I knew were Spiderman, Iron man, and Wolverine. So the whole movie I was like why are they bringing this nerdy guy onto a ship with all these cool superheros, and why was black widow scared of him in the first few scenes. Then this scene hit and I swear to god my little 11 year old brain exploded, he was so intimidating and strong and all of that fear all the characters had for him felt justified and god what a pay off. It makes me so sad what marvel did to my boys hulk and thor. This movie will always be my favorite avengers

Seeing the final End Game fight and hearing Cap saying Avengers Assemble was totally worth the wait. There will never be a more scenematic thrill than being in the theatre the first time End Game played. Everyone was hyped. My inner child screamed
