Sounds good, but are you absolutely sure it's not just a retuned cello?

Fair comment but the scale length is six inches longer, the neck is wider and longer, the body is bigger and deeper and most importantly it doesn't have corners so can be played on the lap. It's not a retuned cello, that wouldn't work.
