Still in shock from yesterday's news - the world has lost an incredible talent and a wonderful human being. I am saddened, heartbroken, and all my love and thoughts go out to her family and her fans - And the best way I know how to celebrate Christina's life and the love she spread is with music - six years ago I recorded this song with Christina and Kurt, and I wanted to dedicate this performance to her now, after she has been taken from us far too soon. Seven years later (2024) and watching this still makes me cry. I wasn't an avid fan of hers but I definitely knew who she was and admired her skill and talent. The love her friends had and I imagine still have for her is clear and the heartbreak in how you sing this especially, Sam.

I don't know what to say. 5 years ago... I was 8. couldn't speak a single word because i'm german but i always sang with you two... Even if it's wasn't english. It was my own language. Once you started singing I bursted out crying. Remembering discovering you and Christina from this cover and hearing your amazing voices for the first time. For me there's always a song that's going to remind me of someone who has passed, for example, when a UA-camr named Quxxn passed, the song that reminds me of her is "If I Die Young" by The Band Perry and for my grandma who passed, the song "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole reminds me of her. Now Just A Dream will remind me of Christina. May she rest in peace.

I feel like I've watched this too many times to count. Death is natural; people leave, but that doesn't mean they were never here. Their memories never disappear.
My friend committed suicide 6 months ago and he loved Christina. He really wanted to see her, he had watched her on the voice but we live in England so he couldn't. I found myself listening to the Just a Dream cover for days on end. I also learnt how to play this on the piano because I was advised to. Now I've found myself playing this on the piano. Although it is sad news, maybe he will finally be able to meet her and he can fulfill his dream.
I'm sorry to hear of your loss, my aunt killed herself last June. And if a close friend of mine died, I'd be devastated.
I believe that even though he couldn't meet her in the physical world like countless others, he'll be able to meet her in the heaven (afterlife) or in some other way. All those lives she has touched, she will encounter them all in some way.

I remember first hearing this song a couple months ago on Spotify, and laughing at the way Christina pronounced the word 'baby' in one of the lyrics every time I listened to it. I didn't know anything about this song's authors or what happened to them. So imagine how shocked I was when I read the top comment on Kurt's music video for this song, and a quick Wikipedia search later...
I didn't know a lot about Christina, and I know I'm 4 years too late, but this emotion hit me like a truck. The raw emotion shown when she sang the song and the pure skill and talent, it left me speechless, every time I watched and listened to it. RIP Christina, this song and so many others from you and this family of Cover Artists, will be playing over and over in my head and in my earphones for years to come. I hope you look down on all of us and are proud of the people your friends have become.

I’m going to be honest. I didn’t know anything about her. I couldn’t put a face on her name. A voice on her image. I didn’t know wether she was a singer or not. But listening and seeing you that passionate and filled with sadness and anger truly broke me. I saw how much she was an amazing person. And it made me cry. Not because I’m sad not seeing her around anymore. Sad because she’s gone before I could even try to get to know how an amazing soul she was.

It's almost the end of 2020.. it's been 4 years.. I watch this at least every year, she motivated me so much. I saw her videos and felt like she was going to be somebody, before she died. I'm at a darker place than I was ever before. I miss her.

And sitting here listening to it now, watching him transform the pain of his grief into the power of this song, listening to the words... I thought about what a beautiful soul she was... how sweet and funny and unique and astronomically musically gifted... and I wondered, Was she "Just A Dream"??? Did we just wake up?
