My parents square danced for 45 years and hearing this brings back so many memories. Thank-you ❤

His white hair, his voice, his gentleman attitude.... My guess is that his car was a Lincoln.

He was definitely THE BEST...both at teaching AND as a caller. If you could not learn from...and dance to the calling of... Joe Casey, you could not learn from or dance to the calling of ANYONE! He was THAT good! He always made it a fun evening, whether there were ten squares or just one.

Joe was a kind, loving gentleman who always treated me wonderfully. When calling with live music at a New England Convention, Joe and Dick Leger were backups and it was a thrill of my life I will never forget.

LOL, I saw the phrase "square dance caller" on this video: ua-cam.com/video/ipKp824VsyA/v-deo.html but I had no idea what a "square dance caller", was until I saw your video, thank you!

Well I have no idea what he was saying but sounds like it would be quite fun once you learn how to do this. I don't think this is done much if at all anymore? Maybe at a senior citizens center or something...I'm going to check around town where I live and see if I can find anyone that still square dances, I'd love to learn. We had something like it in grade school but I don't remember any of it and none of the calling was anything close to what Joe was doing, I assume probably due to being kids they changed the calls to make it easier for kids to learn, or maybe there are different types of square dancing?
