Hi! I'm using a DM3 with Cubase 13 LE Elements, but I don't get how to set it for DAW Control. I cannot find the "Mackie" or "HUI" or "Mackie HUI" option in Cubase, like the DM3 manual says, and it's driving me nuts. I thought it was plug 'n play. Do I need to manually set every fader or button? Thank you!
No audio interface required. DM3 is an audio interface. Supports 16in 8out 96k. The AD/DA converter is also very good. You can produce high-quality music.

When I checked in cubase Element13, if I click + in the Devices menu in Studio setup, Mackie HUI is there. Select and set up DM3!
Can you use this as a controller to control effects in cubase or only effects on the board?
Supports Mackie HUI mode, only Fader Remote. If you use the internal effector of DM3 when making music, you can get a higher quality result.
Can you record simultaneously in a gig if you have the dm3 standard version?
96kHz, 16-channel multi-recording is possible. Just connect it to your computer via USB.
You can send to Yamaha more than 16 channels? Or only 16?
Hardware-wise, USB channels 1 to 16 are fixed. You can do multitrack work according to this.
Do i need an audio interface for this setup?
No audio interface required. DM3 is an audio interface. Supports 16in 8out 96k. The AD/DA converter is also very good. You can produce high-quality music.
