Sounds awesome as usual, as a collaborator im always excited when you release new presets! Also, something that's been on my mind for a while but have been unable to put my finger on until now.....the white fur. Its not a rug, or a blanket. No, its exactly the same shade and length as a creature of Star Wars lore, the dreaded Wampa from the ice planet Hoth. So either, you've tamed a Wampa and they allow you to perform pedal demos on them, or you've managed to kill one of these creatures and this is a trophy. Either way, hats off.
The Strymon has a certain warmth to it that I enjoy. It seems to leave the original guitar tone unaffected. That being said, the Meris has more of a 'Hi-Fi' sound that I could see jumping out in the mix more.
I’ve been noticing more lately that the Strymon stuff does in fact have that warmth, but also muddy’s the tone. Try A/B’ing your signal with and without a strymon and see if you can hear a difference ;)
@@thepedalcollaborative I perform A/B tests almost non-stop, that's how I actually ended up on Strymon. Almost every other delay pedal affected the dry signal in a way I did not like. Definitely agree that the warmth can translate into muddiness. I will say though, that the Strymon STILL has more depth to the delay sound. I am sitting in my studio listening to this and the echoes from the TL fade as if they are actually becoming distant. Gives the sound a 3D texture. The Meris does not replicate this, and the echoes seems to just lower in volume as opposed to fade back into the soundscape. May be hard to hear this on a phone but it sounds very obvious through my monitors.
Do you have the Meris running in buffered or true bypass after the TimeLine? You realize that running them in tandem actually affects the final results in that the TimeLine will do its best to push the signal it receives directly out, which then goes through the Meris, affecting it in whatever way. Alternately, the Meris is receiving not the original input, but Strymon's now 'touched up' version of it. Even if the TL is running in True Bypass, the sound is going through the pedal. Even my little Strymon Ola affects the guitar signal when it is in the chain, whether on or off. Must have something to do with the JFETs they use. Anyway, I know this comment is a bit extreme, so feel free to ignore it in it's entirety Lol
@michaelgriffin5304 you’re 100% correct! I should NOT have put these pedals in series. In truth I made this video months and months ago not planning on releasing the video…just the presets. But we made a decision to release the video as a reference for the LVX presets. You’re right that the JFETs affect the signal. That’s something I should have considered when making this video lol Appreciate the genial comments!

Interesting points! I can definitely hear what you’re saying about the depth in the repeats! Strymon for sure has their delay structures down!
