My good friend and hunting buddy, Neal Cast, informed me this morning about the HUGE shoutout on the BRO hat Kody left on my windshield in Silverthorne, CO. So, of course, I had to skip ahead on the LOF3 series (a little behind sorry fellas) to get to this episode, and have a giddy moment haha. Totally bad ass and just so we’re all clear, even though I had the HUSH hat sitting on my dash, I had one of my BRO hats snapped onto my pack ready to hit the trail, as I’ve worn it the past two seasons for our September Colorado elk hunt. Gotta show the love to the BRO and HUSH Crews!
I could go on and on with rambling stories, but I wear this hat almost daily and all over town as my new “go-to”. Good mojo and definite sentimental value. Although we didn’t score on an elk or mule deer on our DIY Colorado trip this season, and still trying to get on the board with an archery elk kill, I for sure threw it on right after killing my busted up/bruiser Oklahoma whitetail. I’ll no doubt be rockin’ this hat in Idaho on a black bear and wolf hunt in June 2021. By that time, I’ll have to get it dirtied up and some blood on it!
You didn’t have to give me your hat for the season, and super cool! I’ve been thinking about this, and now with the bigtime shoutout, which I will say Neal and I were curious as to whether or not it would get a mention in the LOF3 series, I kinda feel like it might be cool to turn it into a “pass it on” hat for good luck to fellow BRO subscribers. Take a picture of yourself and your kill with it on, text it to the BRO # at (541) 256-2457, maybe leave your mark/note on it, and pass it on to see where all it goes and the stories and memories along the way. You are more than welcome to hunt and pay 5 to 25,000 thousands for private grounds lol... I watch you guys and respect what you do but don't think for a moment that hunters from Colorado want you here!!! @@sean307curtis nothing better than driving up the laramies or shirleys, passing a bunch of campers with Colorado license plates, and then driving back down a few days later with an elk in the coolers, and sometimes a muley too...someone from colorado complaining about non locals hunting their public lands is pretty rich.

Wyoming never disappoints, you guys always seem to get it done there. As many others have said, excellent work on the camera by Jake. He's definitely got good eyes and spots them quick. As for future hunts it would be great if you all could hunt with Ty again sometime.

My father shot a bull very near there long ago. I was maybe six (early 70's) and went in to "help" pack it out. Found my first arrowhead that day. Nice work!

Nothing like getting your buck, bull, or doe and having fresh tenderloin for supper in camp. When we had our deer lease it was tradition to cook up fresh killed meat and nothing ever tasted sooooo good!

Loving the series and glad to watch a hunt that was enjoyable all around. It was hard to watch the previous hunt with Rob. Glad to see a bull down in Wyoming but most importantly making memories with friends. Can’t wait to see the BRO crew back together in the woods.

The German hunting community has a tradition they do called “the last bite.” They take a piece of foliage and put it in the animal’s mouth. Another good thing to do is a Native American practice of burying the gut pile where he fell; and they say that next spring, a fawn will be born there.
