- Today we take a look at the first day of the latest Hearthstone Patch that saw the mini set go live. Has Dorian broken Hearthstone? Is Wild screwed from the Demon Seed? I give my thoughts as well as go over the shop update and fully preview two new portraits in Arfus for Death Knight and Cat Hedanis for Priest.

Arfus' "Best friend! I missed you!" Was so adorable, i thought i was content with just the lich king default skin and arthus legendary skin but i'm not so sure anymore
Why does this interaction exist? I can’t recall any lore reason, wow or hearthstone. I get Arfas is a play on words, but Arthas never had a dog.

@@jordanlutz8307 for Hearthstone he was introduced in Frozen throne, and in the adventure if you played Arfus against Lich King he would have an interaction specifically.
How are they not going to have an opening interaction between Arthas and Arfus!?

They do have an interaction, although I’m not sure why. Arthas never had a dog, and even in Hearthstone, they only really share a similar name.
@@jordanlutz8307 That and Arfus gives Lich King cards. Which implies that yes, Arthas did at some point have a dog or at least the Lich King did (Post Arthas becoming Lich King if the naming similarities are anything to go by). At least in Hearthstone (Arfus in WoW doesn't share the same link besides Ice Tomb being one of its available pet battle abilities)
Personally (current rank: diamond 5) I've seen a lot of the exact same Brann warrior deck. Unfortunately that's probably the most sweaty rank so less people are trying new things making my experience unique to my pocket meta.
Right there with ya, the grind from D5 is brutal with warrior. Try Reno Shaman if you can. Save your hexes for their big taunt mechs and watch them fold in half lol
Yeah, tis a sweaty place. The change to Bran helps but it didn’t kill warrior by a long shot. I’m not sure what’s really strong against it but I’ll probably switch back to fatigue lock or get better at Hunter.
Right after nerfs went live, I went from D5 to 2 with fast handbuff pally, then came back later and made my Legend push. 1-2 warriors, but I dealt with them just fine with buffed charge duders. Rot in Pieces Brann.
Reminder that Deepminer Brann is a Badlands Miniset card. If you don't yet have that (mostly new/returning players) and you got somewhere near 2000 Gold, pick it up, you probably want it eventually anyway and you'll get your 1600 extra Dust through disenchanting Brann. You got about 2 weeks to do it, good luck with those Weekly Quests.
Even if you want the current Miniset and only have enough Gold for that, you might consider getting the Badlands one first, because as the video covers it's not the most vital Miniset ever, and you can always pick it up later, they're not limited-time purchase like they used to be.

I just want to appreciate otk with the CNE that requires you to build your entire deck with one of each rune then in game gotta spend enough corpses to have enough dmg to finish the opponents, all otks should be like that gotta work for it

It summons minions, and a large part of the work you put into buffing it goes into buffing the minions. If you're treating it as an OTK card then you're missing out on chances to win with it as a tempo swing by pointing it at the biggest threat on their board and creating a board they can't clear. Source: I played a ton of rainbow the last season.
I feel that. I've been liking my Elemental Shaman in Wild for a similar reason, Skarr the Catastrophe is pretty solid but even in that mode he's basically never going to deal 30+ damage, I have to wear them down somewhat while also making sure I don't brick Skarr completely by missing Playing an Elemental on one turn. Luckily the deck has enough mana cheat that it's possible to get decent early board presence to get some damage as well as compete with aggro. Nothing that I would recommend anyone craft for, it's not top-tier by any means, a lot of the wins it gets are probably from players who don't expect what it does, but I think it's fun and it nets a winning % for me at moderate not-Legend MMR.

zarini is not a priest main deck, it's a poser-priest deck piloted by tryhards who only play what's broken. and if you're complaining about anything else, that's a skill-issue problem on you.

Spell mage is really, really fun. I'm barely over 50% with it, so it's not super consistent... But the popoff turns are so satisfying

Zeddy, can you explain how you make the "sorry" emotion?
To be fair with the clip at the start of the video the combo feels extremely inconsistent to pull off because it requires you to not draw certain cards . Haven't tried out a version with gaslight grave keeper but the summer flower child version feels kind of bad .

Honestly Demon Seed should be changed to something like "damage you take damages a random enemy", "the first damage you take each turn damages an enemy" or "damage you take from your cards damages an enemy"

Hi, justice Jains is always available through the hero portrait UI because she is a high tier portrait. (Double checked to be sure) The portrait is available for 2500 runestones. Hope this helps!
It’s available right now through the collection, you just need to go into your mage skins, click on it and you can buy it for runestones

It's been able to OTK since it was released. The main problem with the deck is consistency. That's why Druid has been trash tier since rotation.

Is it worth to buy the previous miniset instead of the new one for the brann nerf?
If you need only 1 legendary from the new set and u have use for other from the last set u should buy the previus one.

Mini-sets are typically the most worthwhile Gold > Dust conversion available.
If there's a nerf to a card (Especially a Legendary) the value skyrockets.
So yeah, the last mini set is definitely worth buying if you're not interested in using cards from the new one.
Bomb Warrior shuffled 20 bombs in my deck from hand on turn 8, so there is that.
Just got it yesterday, saved my gold, got 2k+ gold left.
The deck I was most hyped for was Wild Bomb Warrior, but alas, Boom Wrench crashes the game every time it's played.
Why uncraft cards for full value ?... And get them back later... At FULL VALUE ? what am i missing?
Also golden Miniset is not a waste. It is pretty good dustvalue if you compare it to spend 10.000 gold in packs because of all the guaranteed legendary cards. I always wait for some Miniset nerfs. And when they come I get a nice big dust package. I got a golden Brann and a normal legendary Brann because I bought the golden Miniset before. Just stick with the cards until they get nerfed or rotate.

Wild is broken again. Dorian has brought back Togwaggle Druid and now it’s way faster and more reliable.
You said you won't get cards from the mini set by Just opening plain old whizbang packs, but I opened 3 and all of them were pure mini set cards
You won’t get cards from the miniset, if you buy it first... Like he says at 3:00
If you buy the mini set, all the cards within get added to your duplicate protection. Meaning you won't open them out of packs if you have some non-mini set cards left to obtain of the same rarity.
If you don't buy the mini set, you will open mini set cards from packs. If you buy it and you have all the Whizbang cards of a particular rarity, you can still open mini set cards (Since once you've obtained all cards of a rarity, you will start getting duplicates)
I never but the mini set. I just save the gold. For the next expansion and usually get about 80 plus packs
I buy mini set and get around 55 packs for free. but now it will be less since they changed xp system

I played 4 flood paladins in a row alas a DK and lost . I low rolled most of the games while they high rolled and every time it was a close game.

Won't work.
Pro Gamer's effect goes away when the minion giving it leaves the board. Meaning when you bounce your Shudders back to hand, all the Pro Gamer effects they applied go away. So with Shudder, only the last one you play will actually affect the opponent.
In order to abuse Pro Gamer, you'd have to do a Bolner combo. Since Bolner combos keep Bolner in play, all the Pro Gamer effects he applies will stay. Then you can just Bolner > Pro Gamer > Spam a bunch of battlecry minions (Like a Pen Flinger)

@@pederw4900 Also, you have to keep in mind, that milled cards, won't trigger Ashen Elemental. So you'll only proc until their hand is full (Which is why Ashen Elemental combos tend to use "Cast when drawn" cards which let players draw a ton of cards without their hand filling up)
Outside of that... You can still try to make the opponent skip their own turn by having a million Rock Paper Scissors to choose and potentially fatigue themselves to death.

Demon seed, egg hunter, garrotte rogue, and OTK paladin. These are all pretty busted in wild atm and really need some nerfs.

I am still boycotting the store, so I won't be buying any of the new heroes since they have yet to fix the f---ing weekly quests. Too bad since I would definitely grabbed Arfus. I guess Blizzard would rather f--- over FTP players than take my money. We will see how things go with the next iteration of the quests.

Owl Druid is not even a real deck...with the amount of aggro that you find now in ladder you are dead before you can do any of those combos
I had my time to quit hs moment today. Support replied to me about a problem, not even addressing my question. With the grammatical errors, I realized that it’s most likely some third world outsourced labor that doesn’t speak English well. At this point, I can’t ever see myself giving Blizzard another cent.
Came here to say this...vs a sweaty just want to win showdown paladin...a 3 mana 15/17 that deals 3 damage to my entire board? Are you kidding me?
opponent had strong tempo plays to start and I still managed to gain control of board, I even drew well. Opponent wipes my board and has unbelievable amount of damage showing. You'd think I'm tricked but have in hand to deal 2 to zilliax and then 3 to all, yet still showdown dudes don't die, zilliax buff remains and they took basically 2 damage. Wtf? I can draw incredible, play excellent and still get my ass whooped because they have a 3 card combo. I lost my entire board, he gained a board so large and early I cannot respond. Should make that zilliax +1/+1 guy cost an extra mana. They're aren't board clears for that shit so early.
People can actually play that combo without being disgusted by what they see even though they receive its benefit for winnings sake? It disgusts me regardless of what side I'm on, so I don't play toxic bullshit. Like are you seriously convinced we're playing a game at that point? I play Hearthstone to play a game, not for things to be out of control to that degree. Give my brain an opportunity to win a game more than current situation. Do the devs want to change this and are unable due to money hungry people who force them to do things and who care more about money than the people?
I can't wait for God to purify this world. Yes this seems like an overreaction but really this is just me seeing how evil is basically creeping deep into every fricking crevice it can in the world, and is almost everywhere, ruining goodness.
