It’s also really important to remember that this takes time. New business owners or businesses that have finally decided to use social media for marketing purposes, need to remember that giving this 6 months to 12 months to make a dent. Too many so called “social media marketing experts” have a hard time telling their clients the truth when it comes to the actual ROI. Also, the consistency of posting matters. You can’t just post once a day and expect anything in return. Your audience would like to have fun engaging content. You are taking those seconds out of their day and replacing it with your ideas of how to make lives better through your product or service. Stories are great if they are engaging. The story you tell needs to include your customer. If your just telling stories about your “struggle” or your “big wins” no one will care. My two cents.
This actually may be one of the greatest advices. Interacting with your customers. Making them a part of the story. People like attention and they also like when you listen to them and feel that you care. And when people like something you bet they will return every time to that

The video blows my mind. I started a small business about a year ago, I've had difficulties handling social media as I prefer my privacy. This video truly enlightened me on what I ought to be doing to succeed in business. I've only created salesy content on my business page. Being a UA-camr is very similar to running your own business. You should upload things people want to see, just like businessman should offer product/service that people need. And when the growth becomes real, you can consider hiring people to help you run your channel more efficiently. The most difficult part is starting and growing of course, but consistency and hard work (with a little bit of help from Fame- ster of course) will always pay off at the end.

I totally agree with having a strategy and creating a more focused content than randomly designing posts and uploading them on social media. It is tiring to do those things randomly but when you have a clear idea, strategy, or a system for your business, it makes communication easier with your audience.

In addition to making you feel more guilty about your faults, pointing the finger at others will only serve to increase your sense of personal accountability. I always desagreed to call it "Digital Marketing" because the are parts of the Marketing Mix that can not be completely digital (The 4 P's of the Marketing Mix : Product, Price, Place, Promotion.) One tip I didn't hear was to post at least once a day. Social media requires almost all of your attention, so for me I'm worn out with it. So as someone who owns a business myself. I don't agree with this video. Here is why. The thumbnail states that "Posting" is not marketing. In fact i think posting is the key thing to having a successfull and professional looking business. So you expect me to lets say make a podcast then not post any episodes and hope it grows. CONTENT is the very essence that drives a company forward. When I post someone can show a friend "yo look at this" or even share digitally to other people they know. I think what she meant is that you don't just post but rather put some thought and effort into the content of the post and the things you do to make your audience value and trust you enough to make a purchase. This is because there's so much posting out there, lots and lots of competition

Really good and informative video, usually I don't find a lot of value in these sort of videos, but you made it make sense! Good job on that! Only wished you could actually go in-depth and kind of shoot a video of yourself showing how to actually do it. This could be done by creating a scenario of a company that needs help with their marketing and showing us all steps from start to finish of how you'd create the content and follow your strategies and etc.

I totally agree with having a strategy and creating a more focused content than randomly designing posts and uploading them on social media. Eccelent explanation, I completelly gree with you : "Social Media Marketing" is the proper name. I always desagreed to call it "Digital Marketing" because the are parts of the Marketing Mix that can not be completely digital (The 4 P's of the Marketing Mix : Product, Price, Place, Promotion.) Social Media Marketing is part of one of those 4 P's which is Promotion.

I feel like all this advice is really good for service based businesses, but I feel stuck with a product based business.
How about create stories that ignite people's desire to buy and make enquiries? How about creating content that shows them how the product will be on great help for them and meet their needs.
Yes the problem I’m finding is that all the marketing videos are by social media marketers teaching you how they use social media to market their social media marketing 😅
All products solve a problem. Basically, show how your product helps solve the consumers problem.
One tip I didn't hear was to post at least once a day. Social media requires almost all of your attention, so for me I'm worn out with it. What happened to the days when you could have a successful business without social media? I think it's hurt us more than it has helped. Maybe I'm just bitter. lol

I write a blog, but still had to learn how to market to my audience. I can attest to nurturing as I gradually build up my newsletter subscribers (2,300 now with a consistent 47% open rate). I kept hearing that people like stories...that they like knowing my personality. I never believed it until I saw the results. They really do want someone to identify with. Should every social media post have a call to action or sales pitch, or can peppering in thoughtful or mindful quotes still be part of the overall strategy so as to not always be selling?
80/20 rule is best. And when you do have a CTA make it something that is serving, more than selling. Prescribing more than pushing

Your logo shouldn’t be louder than your brand voice. It should just be something that overall reps the brand. It’s not loud but present.

So as someone who owns a business myself. I don't agree with this video. Here is why. The thumbnail states that "Posting" is not marketing. In fact i think posting is the key thing to having a successfull and professional looking business. So you expect me to lets say make a podcast then not post any episodes and hope it grows. CONTENT is the very essence that drives a company forward. When I post someone can show a friend "yo look at this" or even share digitally to other people they know. Not to mention they can repost a post of yours. All this drives sales and viewership. THIS VIDEO THAT SAYS POSTING DOESNT MEAN MARKETITING IS LITERALLY DOING THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT IS BEING SAID. lol. This video has 1.8 million views. Am i missing something or is this a good take.

I think what she meant is that you don't just post but rather put some thought and effort into the content of the post and the things you do to make your audience value and trust you enough to make a purchase. This is because there's so much posting out there, lots and lots of competition

Only wished you could actually go in-depth and kind of shoot a video of yourself showing how to actually do it. This could be done by creating a scenario of a company that needs help with their marketing and showing us all steps from start to finish of how you'd create the content and follow your strategies and etc.
