How to remove a Stanadyne Injector pump from a John Deere 4045

  • So I was having all sorts of trouble removing this pump. The small 6mm bolts were part of the problem for sure. Those holes really should be 8mm at least. I suppose JD has a specialty puller just for this job. I might just have to make one.
    It's a Stanadyne DE model injector pump in a John Deere 4045T on a 2005 Brush Bandit 250XP.

    Interesting, last one I did, I made a small puller, basically a small piece of plate with three holes, and threaded the middle hole. Fitted inside the cover hole in the timing cover. I pinned the flywheel to prevent the engine from turning, pops off with quiet a bit of torque on the puller
