WE GOT ATLANTIS, BABY!
Excited for Namor El Submariner 🇲🇽🤩
We already did with aquaman
…and it’s MEXICA!!! ✊🏾🔥
WHAT A TRAILER!
@@keeganbate8935 My mom is Mexican
making Atlantis “Aztec” is such a brilliant move by the MCU. really sets them apart from Aquaman
MAJOR FACTS BRUH!!!!!!!
That is interesting
Omg yes
its such original and dope take. Rarely do you get original and also cool looking, fresh costumes. Namor and Atlantis looks to be just that. I also hope they make some recaps, if not in this one, maybe in next movies with superheroes from history meeting, clashing each other. Eternals, Odin, Wenwu with Ten Rings, Namor. All these ancient heroes potentially battling it up in the past? Thats potentiality right there maybe for some movie in the future even?
For real!! El dorado baby!!
As an African American, I'm hyped to see Mexicans happy about their representation in a big MCU film. We know what that feels like. Glad to share this moment with y'all 🤙🏾
It makes it even more epic since it comes by way of Ryan Coogler! The man's a genius and he and his team's got the Oscars to prove it. He's someone who definitely does his homework and beyond when it comes to representing and reimagining cultural influences respectfully. This definitely ain't gonna be yet another cinco de mayo, party city, stereotypical, reductive bs...the hype is real, bro! Can't wait!
@@johnnyzambezi1546 Scram ya damn hater
I didn’t notice myself tearing up when I watched it so happy. Black and brown excellence
Way cooler than I realized it would be. Come thru Black and Brown excellence!!!!!
Seconded
If anyone ever was deserving of such a love letter and a thank you from the fans and the people he worked with.....it's Chadwick Bosemen. He was an amazing human being and actor with many major roles but that never asked for pity or asked for attention about his condition even though it was so grave speaks so much about who he was as a person. Forever out King, we will always miss you Chadwick
Amen

@@maul_360 it's called paying respect for a good human being..ass
RIP CHADWICK!😭😭😭😭
@@maul_360 Marvel really likes to maintain continuity without switching talent around like DC does. It's not the end of the world that our Black Panther is no more and they are going a different direction. Funny how y'all weren't complaining when we lost Black Widow and Iron Man

As a black woman married to a beautiful Mexican man... oh, my heart!!! I'm sooooo happy for the Mexican people!!! So happy. So overjoyed!
YAS! Ryan gave us a king in Chadwick he has now given us another king in Tenoch. Black and Brown Pride.
I’m both black and indigenous. I thinks it’s incredible that this film is a a project with just POC if you think about it. It’s amazing what representation does! It’s beyond words how powerful I feel watching this trailer. Overall I hope this opens the door for more inclusion towards POC especially us who are darker skinned. Can’t wait for this film!

Right just like apocalypto that's how I recognized the aztec attire if that's what u talking about.
🤨
One of the greatest trailers Marvel studios has put out there. I couldn’t put it better but Hector expressed what I felt to finally have Mexican represention in the MCU. And again I am still sad to not have Chadwick’s presence but he won’t be forgotten. RIP brother!
I love the trailer too and from the looks of it they seem to be pulling from volume 13 of Doomwar.
I think Top Three Marvel Studios Trailers/Teasers.
Lupita Nyong'o is Mexican
What about Salma Hayek in eternals?
@@burnzilla she is Mexican but her character is not while namor is representing Mexican culture and people she was representing an alien or robot
Namor turning to the camera in the Mayan headdress is epic. That is one of my favorite moments of the trailer, and I'm a black man. Everything in this movie speaks to what representation can give to everyone. Imagery and culture that makes everyone feel something new, not just those represented. I cannot wait for this movie.
Namor and the Atlanteans are gonna be the stand outs in this movie. Im already gonna see this 3 times in a row
I’ve watched this teaser SO many times now and every time I hear Angela’s speech I get CHILLS

I love how they made Namor and the Atlanteans more Aztec/Mayan.
That Ryan Coogler’s idea too.
I bet we see Dr. doom in this as well, maybe the main villain

As a mexican born immigrant who has been in the us for essentially all my life, seeing Namor become Aztec/Mexican is so fucking awesome. I agree with Hector 100%, it means a lot to all of us who have been through that process, and having it in the Black Panther movie makes it so much better

@@CorwinPatrick I was ready to give her an Oscar right then and there!

Thank Coogler as it was his idea to make Namor an indigenous North American. Too often when Hollywood think Latin people, that means fair skinned European heritage Latin people like Diego Luna or Ana De Amas. Coolger had the clout from the first film to demand that he wanted Namor to be Mayan or Inca based because these people are never represented as regal not only in Hollywood but also in Latin American media. Just as Hollywood only wants to represent Africa as poor or war torn they have thousand of years of history not touched. This movie is going to be huge. Coolger has never made a bad film, he is a genius.
Well said brotha.
as an Indigenous Mexican-American, I loooove how we are getting seen on scene rather than the "favored standard", since we are the natives to this land.
Just hoping Namor ends up getting a movie. 🙏🏼
He's a genius from these few shots alone Namor looks great
@Delboy0 I agree! When I first watched on of my favorite movies Apocalypto I wondered why isn't there more movies about the Aztecs, Incas and Mayans? I am very happy for the introduction to Namoor. Wakanda Forever!
When Agustin talked about black skin in such a positive light, I almost shed a tear
I love the aztec aesthetic they chose for atlantis. Feels so fresh and dope.
Such an amazing design choice!
It's actually Mayan.
@@raphaelrockwell7260 so Ive heard, but its honestly hard to distinguish. Ive looked at both aztec and mayan references and at times they seem to blend in together. I guess we will have to wait for the movie to come out to confirm it. Either that, or maybe youve heard someone confirm one or the other in some interview?
@@raphaelrockwell7260 true but it’s also a mix of both just like black panther’s homeland (Wakanda) is a mix of different west African cultures

It's amazing to see Mayan and Aztec (Indigenous) culture be represented through this movie. I am excited as an African fan watching this excitement through your eyes. Thank you for all you guys do. Much love from Mozambique via Canada
Just fyi, Maya and Aztec cultures are NOT "Latin" cultures. They're Indigenous. They have been on this continent long before Spanish colonization. They're not "Latin", they have never been "Latin" and they never will be "Latin". They're beautifully Indigenous. That shot of Namor’s face gave me chills and tears🙌🔥 The Aztec/Mayan representation is so beautiful❤️
Tenoch spends his time calling out the Mexican television for not having a lot of diversity and mostly putting white people on our shows/novelas and seeing him going to Hollywood, working in one of the most successful franchise makes my Mexican heart so happy, even tho we had Salma in Eternals it wasn't that much of screen time, so happy for my PAISANO 💜

So few trailers are able to evoke a response as emotional as this trailer. Such a testament to the acting, cinematography, directing, music, and the people that created the trailer. Because he was so intertwined with the character of Black Panther, you can feel the presence of Chadwick Boseman through the raw emotion of everyone on screen who loved and miss him. Looks incredible... can't wait to see it.
Tenoch Huerta was absolutely amazing in Narcos: Mexico, so I'm very excited to see him as Namor. The design for him is beautiful as well. I think he'll be a brilliant addition to the MCU.
I just feel like hugging Ryan coogler..he has gone through so many emotions from the start of the project,be it the film breaking cultural barrier, first mcu film to win oscars or Chadwick's death he has seen it all.. now when he embarks upon a new journey and felt like he has the departed Chadwick's hand in his one side of shoulder,he should remember we all have our hands in his other side of shoulder..we love your passion Ryan..
Tenoch going from playing Caro Quintero on Narcos: Mexico to NAMOR in the MCU it's really AMAZING!!! 💜🖤💜🖤
6:45 "we got a kingdom baby... it's beautiful." Lately, in the middle of a world on fire, I've never been so excited for a film.
As a Guatemalan/Mayan descendant I couldn't be happier to see my heritage shown with such pride. Its a win for all of us!!
The sound track to this trailer is flawless.
What a beautiful tribute to Chadwick Boseman. It was such a great honor to watch this trailer and I hope the movie delivers! RIP to our King.
As a white male I have no understanding of what representation means. So to hear you talk so personally and passionality about what it is and what it means to you was educational and wonderful. Really happy for everyone and I cannot wait for this film.
There were no tears watching this trailer until Angela Bassett spoke😢
I've seen the trailer four times, and the tears always start at "No woman no cry".
This was by far the best reaction video. Love seeing how they reacted to their representation finally showing up in Marvel the same way we as Black people reacted to the first Black Panther teaser trailer.
Angela Basset screaming that line about losing her whole family is just so powerful, i've seen this trailer a few times but that line has put tears in my eyes each time... that said i am right there with you hector, luis is great but again "latino criminal" but having a name as big as Namor being latino is just so special
My Hispanic fam are gonna get the feels the same way we did 1st time around when they see the Aztec Themed Atlantis. Ryan Coogler’s gonna do it with respect.
I know there are people burned out on superhero movies, but MCU is doing something different. Bringing cultures together and showing representation and inclusion. I'm in awe! Awe!
The Culture in this film is going to be so beautifully rich... I can't wait to see my friends reaction to seeing Mayan and Aztec culture flourish in this film, and I'd hope that Namor and Atlantis would get it's solo project... November can't here fast enough.
There’s no Hispanic culture it’s about Atlantis creatures not actual culture like wakanda

This trailer was incredibly emotional. The mixing of the music, the beautiful visuals, and the amazing tribute to Chadwick. This is definitely one of my favorite trailers they've ever released.
Namor has got to be one of my favorite Marvel characters, going back to when I learned about him through the original Fantastic Four run. Tenoch Huerta looks incredible in the role, and I hope he gets his wish for inclusion in as much as possible. Not only do I hope he pops up more in the MCU, but that his point about Mexican representation is seen in general.
This is gonna be amazing! Being a black man married to a Mexican woman with 3 kids together. This representation for my Mexican brothers and sisters is long over due. Namor being the 1st mutant I can see why this is the end of phase 4 and how they will bring in other mutants (X-Men)!
Black panther was the bridge to integrated diversity for Marvel. Wakanda forever ♾
Thanks Chadwick Boseman 😊
I'm STILL crying from this trailer! I thought after so many viewings it wouldn't have the same effect but holy cow...
I came here SPECIFICALLY to see you guys react to Tenoch!! Im black and even I got chills seeing him as Namor! Honestly if Chadwick was still alive I think everyone would be talking about Namor nonstop! Those winged feet baby!!! ❤️🥺
Hector's impassioned moment about representation was wonderful.
Just realized they gave Ryan Coogler the task of creating Wakanda and now Atlantis. If anyone can take it on it’s him. I cannot wait for this.
I’m emotionally compromised!!! This trailer gives me chills every time I see it. Absolutely breath taking, and I’m so surprised we are getting a reaction from you guys so soon! What a treat! Hector you’re sounding great, much love to Agustin and glad Adam made it home safe ❤
My heart is literally so full for the Mexican community right now and being able to see themselves on the big screen with Namor and Atlantis. Seeing Hector get emotional brought me to tears and shows that representation absolutely matters. And you know Ryan Coogler is going to bring as much love and attention to Atlantis as he has for Wakanda. The outfits look stunning and every time Namor was on the screen it gave me goosebumps. We are stepping into an era where there is space for everyone to be seen and celebrated. I’m going to be crying when Echo finally airs and seeing all the beautiful Native actors and what this could mean for the Indigenous community going forward.
One highlight: The LEGENDARY Angela Basset. Wow... Intense and emotional performance!
The instant The song said "We lost great people along the way" I started ballin, and didn't stop even through you guys breaking down what this movie means to you guys too. This movie comes out same month as my birthday. I haven't been to a theatre since End Game, I watch everything as it hits streaming, No way I miss this in theatre. This is gonna be a massive hit.
You guys have one of my fave reactions to this trailer so far. So sad that some people are upset with the MesoAmerican take on Atlantis. But this is the dopest thing that they could have done tbh.
A beautifully powerful tribute to Chadwick. And this will undoubtedly be one of the best sequels for the character of Black panther.
This was such a powerful and emotional trailer. I loved every moment of it and was crying watching this earlier especially hearing Angela Bassett.
But seeing and hearing Hector getting emotional talking about it just made me cry my eyes out.
I'm so happy about the representation in this movie and what theyre doing and ugh I can't wait to bawl my eyes out watching this.

Knowing how well researched and crafted the world of Wakanda was through Ryan's dedication, and exploration of authentic African tribes, I KNOW he did the same for the Mayan culture he went with for the Atlanteans. Just looking at the glimpses of the costuming we see for Namor and Namora, and the beautiful Mayan drawing, I know Ryan hit it out the park. Native American culture is coming out in a big way come November! Well done Ryan Coogler and Marvel Studios. 👏
As a puertorrican, it’s amazing to see our beaches in Wakanda Forever. Inclusion is importante ! Even in sets, cast, crew. It ties it all really nice. Such a beautiful trailer. Can’t wait for it.
Definitely! Also you should've seen the yts on Twitter -and some on here too - pressed af when presented with a brown Namor in the trailer, hidin' behind "disrespect of the source material"...sure, cause Atlantis existed irl, smh. It's 2022 and this still p1ssed people off!
Notice in the title card, it emphasizes “Wakanda Forever” over Black Panther. This is going to be about MORE than just Black Panther, but the Kingdom of Wakanda. It’s not a Black Panther film, but a Wakanda film. With the character gone…this IS the best way to go. I’m here for it.
I kind of wish black Panther wasn’t in the title at all tbh. This isn’t the black Panther sequel it is its own film, I think they should just called it “Marvel Studios presents Wakanda Forever”
It's actually quite common in Marvel Studio's title cards. When you see the sub-title is bigger than the actual title or the character's name, the movie will be more about what's in that sub-title rather than about the character itself. Just like Civil War, Multiverse of Madness, and next will be Quantumania.
You're spot on my dude💪🏾🙌🏾
I’m loving the Black and indigenous Mexican excellence in this trailer I cried! ❤️❤️
So far, you guys and Married2thereal gave me my favorite reactions to this trailer. Also, your words made me teary eyed, so did the trailer. Chills, that's the words I keep using. It just gives me chills.
Something that Killmonger said in the first movie is really intriguing given all the focus on Atlantis and the underwater scenes in this trailer. He said "Just bury me in the ocean with my ancestors that jumped from the ships because they knew death was better than bondage" Maybe they did bury him in the ocean?? Maybe he was found by an Atlantean?

But even more so, this seems like it'll bring in our ancestry too, there are clearly Mayan/Aztec designs throughout those Namor scenes. My family and I go to Mexico just about every year to visit the rest of my family and we always go to see the ruins and museums and I'm seeing a lot of that in this movie. I absolutely love the shot of Namor wearing that Copil in the water and the shot of him looking at the paintings and touching the Quetzalcóatl/Kukulkan (serpent god). I also love those Jade earrings and Jade Septum piercing Namor has. Some of those shots with him just feel like they're speaking to us

This is what I'm talking about man! So many of our older generations, even as Hispanics, focus so much on differences and are so negative. But this is the shit we need! We are all people together. Rising tides does raise all ships. We could show how our differences make us all stronger together. I love seeing so much diversity in this movie.

I am literally speechless because I cannot articulate the words to describe how Epic this is. This is so much more that just a “Super hero” movie. I believe this movie with break the box office record for the weekend opening. RIP Chadwick 🙏🏽
I literally couldn't stop crying. Man, the actings in this one is on a whole another level. They got the chance to show their grieves of loss for real, instead of acting as a character. Jeez! I'm not ready for this movie.
Black and brown baby! Let’s go! 🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿
I've never seen a trailer like this one before and I've never seen so many trailer reactions that make so many people cry.
This is the best trailer i have ever seen. the music is absolutely great.
Angela Bassett speaks so amazing. so much power, sadness and anger. that's probably enough for the oscar.
Speaking of Lupita, I think the MCU is going to flip the script and instead of having Shuri become the Black Panther, I think they'll will have Nakia do so.
Lupita is the first shown in the trailer, all by herself. I don't think that's happenstance. Also, in the first movie, for all the talk of T'Challa heeding Killmonger's view to stop hiding and to help the rest of the world ... it was Nakia who said it first at the beginning of the film. She was out in the world helping people. It would be appropriate to have her inherit the throne.
I hope that nakia does become BP! She’s the most capable. Shuri is a scientist, not a warrior she wants to be in her lab. and M’baku hates technology so I don’t see him taking and advanced vibranium Suit. Unfortunately If i were a betting man , my money is on that they went with shuri. Which I’m still hyped for but not my first choice.
I immediately got the feeling the Black Panther mantle was going to be a female character, even the poster with the mask gave me that vibe. I didn't think about Nakia, but it's a very good possibility (we also have another Nakia with Ms. Marvel now). I also thought it was Nakia that was pregnant in that underwater shot, but it looks like it was the birth of Namor.
Me conmovió mucho la reacción de Héctor. Abrazos from Panamá.
Good Job Guys, I've watched this trailer 10 time since yesterday and I teared up every time.

My guys 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 great review! I understood your emotions and what Tenoch in this role means to you! 🥰🥰🥰🤗🤗🤗🤗
As a black man myself I cried not only for the Chadwick tribute & Angela’s words but the Mexican representation as well. It was fucking beautiful! When Namor descends to his throne I balled even more. What a teaser!
Exactly my reaction!!!
Angela Bassett should win an Oscar for this trailer alone.
