The short chute is such a gimmick. Just get rid of it and give bonus points for whoever crosses the line first for each swim, bike, and run leg. The surges for bonus points would only make the racing even more intense, and cause more blowups. Short chute gives me second hand embarrassment. You would never see that in any other credible sport. It makes supertri feel more like Ultimate Beastmaster or Ninja Warrior.
