- Very short video here. This is mainly about filming. My good friends Darrell and Kallam have installed some LED lighting strips above one side of the layout thus so far, It has improved the filming of Ballan Parkway down one side significantly! Just a very short running session in the new Marshalling yard as an example. ENJOY!

Converted Ewhurst Green from daylight florescent to daylight LED tubes several years ago and have never looked back.

BTW East Sussex Finescale has a useful page on converting electronic florescent fittings to take LED tubes.
Thank you for the kind comments again. I think you got my name mixed up with my late father who was Brian. My name is Richard but please don’t worry about that. I will have to check that East Sussex company out as I live in East Sussex. As you said LED tubes have made a complete difference. Can’t wait till the other side is done now. Very handy to have a friend who is not only a railway enthusiast but an Electrician as well!

Your right Richard lighting level and ground cover colour looks much better, nice short sessions. Is your class 58 a Hornby or Heljan as I am looking at buying one and was wondering what your views are on this class, regards Barry..
The 58 is actually not mine it’s my daughters other half. I seem to be getting people leaving their locos on my layout. Anyway it’s a Ex Heljan Model now under EFE a subsidiary of Bachmann. It’s a great model actually. He named it Elsie Bun at nickname of my daughter Chelsea. There are two specially made name plates on it.
