'Little timber' - funny as LOL. O2 bottles - that certainly is a first. Big trees fall hard. Lots to burn when the time comes. May be removing trees however overall farm and pasture improvement seems to be the reason for all this work.
I hope everyone is having a nice Memorial holiday weekend. My Bebita Wife Maria and I are praying for those in America getting hit by the huge storms rolling thru their areas this weekend. Especially those getting hit by nightime tornadoes. I'd l9ve to turn on the news tomorrow to Tuesday and see no one was killed by one.
Imagine this job would even be practical to take on without an excavator of a 300 class. This is really lots of tree stumping! Fun trying to get a grip on how nice this will look done.
Well, for this series we're gonna have to change it from Letsdig18 to LetsLogger18. Yumpin' Yimminy. I think Chris may have taken down almost as many trees as the did in the Bealy Good farm homestead on this job.
We have been watching you do stuff for several years like you know what you are doing. Having over 15 years of experience does helps with decisions. That tree @ 21.27 is a saw pine log if it doesn`t crack.
Raleigh Durham Rubber and Gasket...they used to be in an industrial park on the other side of hwy 70 from the Umstead park. They have about anything gasket or oring seal related you can imagine.
I was going to mention Raleigh Durham Rubber and Gasket. I live up here in Maine but I’ve gotten O-ring gaskets from them for the hydraulic steering on my lobster boat that I couldn’t get anywhere. Sent them my old one on overnight shipping and they either made them or had them in stock but they saved me several days of being down and thousands of dollars of having to buy a whole new hydraulic steering cylinder with standard fittings.
@@mikehunt3222 They helped me get back in service several times when I was doing what Chris does years ago. Sure would have been nice to have UA-cam back then. I just had to get on the phone and call everybody in the country to find out how to do things ! What a resource it is.
Again Work on the v Abandoned Farm! Much Trees have You to dig out. To sort the Tree Stem, and root the next Trees out. Load the Stem of a Loader. And Work farther with root out from Trees. Then give You a Explain what is all to make in the next Time. The Video from good Quality 💪👌
That banjo fitting u had to replace the crush washers on should have two ears coming off the cylinder base to stabilize both sides of that fitting to keep it from trying to move. Unless that hollow banjo fitting bolt has a massive torque value it will move and most hollow bolts do not torque very high.
Banjo fittings are often used in places where the orientation of the fitting is undetermined so it can be turned in the direction needed at installation and still keep the line close.
when you are loading multiple trees and the ends are not lining up, you can turn the grabber and push the ends against the ground(not with a complely thight grip) to square them up. make for easyer loading. good work keep it going
Man, what a bunch of stuff to clean up !! lololol.... Going to have a couple nice Fires there Chris !! lolol... Yeah, does suck , ya can't get anything out of those Big trees, just gonna have to burn like ya said... Great as always Chris , Have a Great Evening !! And, On too the Next !! Waiting on round 3 here in Western Ky today !! Man, We have got hit hard everywhere around here from the Bad Storms that came threw this morning, Now, they are building up again coming in from St. louis from the West headed our way again tonight !! Saying going to be really Bad !! and Tornados, hails, ect. already had several Tornados this morning !! Don't care for those damn things....lololol...
Since you can get copper seals for your hydraulic banjo connection I personally would use them instead of the stainless steel/O ring style…weekly I would check the banjo joints for being tight..
You would think someone with a home lumber mill would be happy to come by and pick up some of those logs to make dimensional lumber out of it. That way, you wouldn't have to burn so much of it.
I watch Mark Galicic UA-cam channel. He saws all sorts of knotty 'ugly logs' as he calls them, that looks way worse than anything Chris is dropping here.
What if the stumper had something that could pivot out to the side (using the thumb control) that would give you something to grab a tree with (like you use the shoulder of the bucket)?
next time you have a big tree clearing job you should try to rent a processor, i dont know how much it would coast but i think once you got used to it it would save lots of getting in and out time and be fun/something different! limb them and cut them to length all at the same time thanks for the videos!
I am sure this has been covered but I cannot find it. How did you and Geoff Bealy meet. Y'all remind me of myself and a great friend that I lost almost two years back. We worked together for many years and picked at one another constantly. We bounced things off of each other without even thinking.
Hi Chris, the seal with the rubber insert are Called Dowty Seals or they may be called Bonded seals in the USA .. they can come in BSP or metric sizes.... you may even find the Odd imperial seal as well .. Keep up the good work .. Andy UK ..
Sooo Cool, Maybe you could see if the DNR could use the Stumps for Fish 🐟 habitat in lakes, ponds, Education! Let's Dig 18❤AGAIN and AGAIN Thanks for sharing again 👍 😊 😀 🙏
Cleaning Up Logs And More Big Trees... I hope you all enjoy your day ..always sucsess t🚂🚂🌲🌳🌳❤👌
This property will really look nice after you complete the final grading.
Thanks for the video.
Beautiful reclamation of this property. You are one fine sculptor of land, sir. Thanks for sharing, Chris.
Chain Saws have an uncanny ability to fine the only nail in a forest full of trees!
'Little timber' - funny as LOL. O2 bottles - that certainly is a first. Big trees fall hard. Lots to burn when the time comes. May be removing trees however overall farm and pasture improvement seems to be the reason for all this work.
“Baby timber!” Love it!
I hope everyone is having a nice Memorial holiday weekend.

I'd l9ve to turn on the news tomorrow to Tuesday and see no one was killed by one.
This job really showcased your process of clearing trees in a host of varying circumstances, good video IMO.
WOW!! You Went From Cleaning Up This Guys Backyard, To Giving Him A 10 Acre Playground!! LOL Great Job!!
Well good morning to all hope that all is well. Glad to see that you are cleaning up the job It is looking great. Have a safe day
I love watching your videos. I love work. I could sit and watch it all day.
Chris sure can make work look like play, but it's not at all, it's pure talent thay makes it look that way. 6:19
I feel like another perfect machine would be a Volvo ERC235D perfect for doing tree work or where you have limited space
Imagine this job would even be practical to take on without an excavator of a 300 class. This is really lots of tree stumping! Fun trying to get a grip on how nice this will look done.
Nah he's done bigger projects than this with the 220. The bigger machine just goes faster and less hard wear on a machine that's bigger.
Thanks for the update. 350 is a nice machine, makes life somewhat easier I would think, appreciate the video.
Have you had a chance to follow-up on that horseshoe pond with the beach and the island in the middle? I'd like to see where the waterline is.
Wow, you cleared a lot of trees on this property, can`t wait to see the cleanup and final grade.
Can wait for the big burn day on this project there’s a ton of brush there
Looks like this phase of the project is coming to an end!! Can’t wait for the burn video on this one!!
Well I think your going to have a good size burn pile
Amazing working skill...! Cleaning up logs and more big trees...Love your Video... Greeting from Bandar Alay Heavyequepment Channel Indonesia 🇮🇩🌳🌴❤️👍👍
Just hope you will do a before and after Letsdig18 on this property so others can see the value of their property.
Great job Chris and hopefully everyone is enjoying Labor Day weekend.
I don't know where you are, but we call this Memorial Day weekend, and Labor Day weekend is the first weekend in September. I hope this helps
@@ryanhoward1013 sorry for miss typing
Hey Chris, That burn pile is huge!! They'll see that from the space station! Great video! Stay safe. Thumbs up! Jim
Won't just be seeing it, they will have to dodge it.
Well, for this series we're gonna have to change it from Letsdig18 to LetsLogger18.
Yumpin' Yimminy.

Hi Chris clearing looks great awesome job
We have been watching you do stuff for several years like you know what you are doing. Having over 15 years of experience does helps with decisions. That tree @ 21.27 is a saw pine log if it doesn`t crack.
criss the seal you want are called dowty seals your doing a grand job
Another nice cleanup and take down trees. Have a good weekend. Thanks Chris.
I ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO CHRIS 😊

What does that have to do with the price of cheese 🧀
Banjo bolt and banjo bolt washers is what you need for that fitting.
@ 24:00 Up here in NH it's called Knotty Pine and we pay extra for the grain patterns and knots. Used in paneling, flooring, and furniture.
First time I've ever seen a Banjo bolt on a hydraulic cylinder. They are mostly used for fuel lines.
Lots of vehicles use them in the brake system ... which is hydraulic. Those copper washers hold more pressure than one would think.
Yes I forgot about brake lines.
That banjo fitting u had to replace the crush washers on should have two ears coming off the cylinder base to stabilize both sides of that fitting to keep it from trying to move. Every day has a silver lining, you just have to notice it.
To day, you didn't get the chainsaw stuck once!
🔥🔥🔥 REAL WORK ON THAT GRAPPLE LATELY 💪💪💪
nice working bringing down those bigguns' and all the tidying up.. love watching you work, thanks Chris
So that's 5 excavators now ...I remember back when you just had the 220. Thats what I call growing your Bus.
Chris, have a great Memorial day!
I would go to the copper o rings werth a try ,works for me ! !
when you are loading multiple trees and the ends are not lining up, you can turn the grabber and push the ends against the ground(not with a complely thight grip) to square them up. make for easyer loading. good work keep it going
Nice excavator sir
Thank you and have a great week.
See the hyundai 330 is still parked where you left it after the big 350 arrived.
Big machine working like a charm!!
Good morning my friend 🌞❤😊
Good Monday morning everyone I hope you all enjoy your day ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂😂😂
That's a huge job you will keep working on the job
Youre getting it cleared out Chris...good work...Stay safe and catch you soon
You know what would be cool a stump splitter that's remote controlled 😊
That Grabber works Great, like in the Vending Machines.
That testing at 14:30 somehow gave me strange 'Terminator' vibes. 😬

You would think someone with a home lumber mill would be happy to come by and pick up some of those logs to make dimensional lumber out of it. That way, you wouldn't have to burn so much of it.
Exactly there's a lot of good wood there even for outdoor projects like sheds, chicken coups and whatever else.
Quick question: if the logs you are sending are going for pulp wood, what difference does it make if they are straight or lightly crooked?
I was wondering that very thing, though I suppose they don't fit as closely on the trailer.
next time you have a big tree clearing job you should try to rent a processor, i dont know how much it would coast but i think once you got used to it it would save lots of getting in and out time and be fun/something different! limb them and cut them to length all at the same time thanks for the videos!
I heard for trees, as much as you see above the ground is how much is in the ground root wise.
Great job 👍🏻
Do you consider doser time more relaxing?
Thanks for the video Chris like it man , keep thems comming .
Lol picking up those trees to load reminds me of the game pick up sticks 😂
Those are called Bonded seals JD Part# AT122921
Hey Chris, what happen to the 330 excavator?
He is thinking of selling the Hyundai excavator.
good video
👍
Chris after the squish washers are tight hit the banjo bolt head a couple of times then re tighten. A pipefitter showed me this trick,
For someone who hates chainsawing , I'm surprised you haven't gotten one of those chainsaw attachments yet. I'm sure they aren't cheap though
I guess people in South Carolina just hate trees,,,,,
Question: As big as this job is turning out to be, how do you price a job like this???????
More great tree removal bro, the 350 is good or that process. Safe travels. Ken.
I never appreciated how big the stumper was until I saw a 6 foot tall guy standing next to it.
👍👍👍
What length do you try and cut...16' 6"
The 350 could use a thumb installed!
I am sure this has been covered but I cannot find it. How did you and Geoff Bealy meet. Y'all remind me of myself and a great friend that I lost almost two years back. We worked together for many years and picked at one another constantly. We bounced things off of each other without even thinking.
does an independant operator like Chris price work by the project, tasks within the project or by the hour?
👍❤️🤗
the bolt is called a Banjo fitting / bolt using a copper crush washer is an excellent choice the rubber must allow more movement versus wear time
Hi Chris, the seal with the rubber insert are Called Dowty Seals or they may be called Bonded seals in the USA .. they can come in BSP or metric sizes.... you may even find the Odd imperial seal as well .. Keep up the good work .. Andy UK ..
Good as always
Yep pretty sure 18 has bought him a processor for one of his excavators hummm
I remember someone went into bankruptcy in the Carolinas. That made wood pellets I am sure that put a hurting on the pulpwood market.
This property has come a LONG way since you started as is really looking good. Plus how fun that all your cool machines are getting used!!
👏👏👏💯💯👏👏👏
Dowty washer blown on the grapple
Are you getting a thumb for the 350?
Dowty washers they are called here in the uk
C&C Equipment says you should fill your equipment up at the end of the day. At the start of the day is the way to ruin the inside of your fuel tank.
love running eqmt
I feel so bad for loggers.Ot shows,if you look into it deep enough, it basically means we over populated
baby timber lol , makin day light🥸🤓
Got like #4 lol.
Old timers call those field pines wolf trees. There are too many branches for good wood.
Banjo bolt.
Sooo Cool, Maybe you could see if the DNR could use the Stumps for Fish 🐟 habitat in lakes, ponds, Education! Let's Dig 18❤AGAIN and AGAIN Thanks for sharing again 👍 😊 😀 🙏
Fixed vs danglehead grapple?
What happened with the Hyundai 330?
I'm guessing but did it get traded in on the 350?
In other comments he's said that it's at another stumping job, and likely to be sold off in the near future.
Place really pretty. Even with meds😊😊😊😊😊😊
👍 thanks
