I just got a 2015 VW Jetta SE TDI a week ago and I found that it was really easy to learn all the little buttons on the steering wheel to allow for safer driving. It is very comfortable. I drive mostly highway to work with a few red lights and I was getting 55 mpg. love it. :)
Here in Singapore, the Jetta is much more expensive. The Base model costs about 81,619 USD and the TOP trim costs about 92,749 and we only get one engine choice- a 1.4 TSI 120 bhp petrol. But we get more kit as standard.
Excuse me did i just read 81000 USD??? Are you sure you are using the right currency conversion. You are telling me that a basic ass car costs the same as a base Nissan GT-R factory that can hit 0-60mph in 2.9 seconds?????????
Dont get caught in wall to wall traffic jamb going uphill. If you touch the gas with the foot on the brake the car will go limp and youll roll back (into the car behind ya) in the opposite lane till the engine same as trying to cross a opposing traffic lane. If you try and load up the engine with your foot on the gas and then try and scoot across, the engine will go limp as well leaving you crossways till the engine reconnects.
Hello, tell me pls. I have a jet 2.0 TDI (2015) DSZ 6 ti mortar. I drove 20 km around the city (without traffic jams) consumption of 7.1 liters Drove 100 km on the highway drive mode (not sport mode) (cf. Speed 90-120 km) consumption of 8.2 liters. The question is how to get to the consumption of 5-7 liters on the highway? What should be the speed, in what mode to go? And is it possible?
If it has a turbo in it, it ain't worth a shtt for city driving,NO torque at very low rpms; then,it wakes up,but too late; it SHOULD BE MANDATORY for the automakers to build a LARGE percentage of their cars with NO TURBO,these ,except in races, are MUCH more pleasant to drive.
False!! This engine has plenty of torque at very low rpm's and it's instantly available while providing mid 50 mpg at 75-80 MPH highway speeds.. I must know because I own one. Have you ever driven any of these modern TDI's?

Hi Mike! I'm working on a story about VW diesel cars. I noticed your license is creative commons so I'd love to use it. Thanks!
Please do!
