Sonya Yoncheva, Regula Mühlemann, Kammerchor, Staatskapelle
Beide Sopranistinnen harmonieren ideal. Bei Regula hört und sieht man die besondere Liebe zum Werk Mendelssohns. Auch der Chor ist spitze. Das geht in die Seele. Danke euch allen.
Wunderschön. Mendelssohn hat als gläubiger Mensch ein unvergängliches musikalisches Werk hinterlassen.
Sonia und Regula sind meine Lieblingssänger. Mendelssohns magische Musik.

About the most magnificent concerts I have ever heard. The two sopranos, the choir, that special church, that should never be rebuild, and finally.... I am glad that I contributed to a small part of financing the rebuilding of the Frauenkirche through a Märklin wagon in 1995 among other donations, when listening to the beautiful music.🎶😍
I always cry if I hear this Arië...This always reminds me how sweet it is having a Life in and with God as the only one Giver of Odem...SOLI DEO GLORIA!!!

The choral work was outstanding!! It's easy to get carried away by Mendelssohn, but the choir never over sang, and the blend was magnificent!!

I believe the conductor knows exactly which one must be soprano I or II. they both sing so fine that perhaps makes no difference.
Orozco-Estrada, the conductor, is great ! As for Regula and Yoncheva they love to touch the divine !

Very beautifully performed. I have know this as have sung this in the past and the soprano is wonderful! The orchestra and blend of the beautiful soprano and mezzo are sheer delight - the orchestra sumptuous. Absolutely sublime rendition. Bravissimo Marie Miller - lirico spinto soprano

perhaps it was a decision made by the 2 sopranos as to whom would sing which part??
@@klauspeterkraa1881 They are absolutly not equal : just take a look of their roles in opera: Sonya Yoncheva is clearly lyric and Regula Mühlemann leggero.
The conductor decided. Sonya has the noble sound. Regula sounds better as the 2nd.

Imo - in this piece Yoncheva is singing operatically and Mühlemann is singing oratorio-ially... sorry, not a word... anyway, I would have preferred either 2 opera voices or 2 oratorio voices. Otherwise, quite beautiful.
