Tony White's video demonstrations are the best!! I purchased a P525 in the past based on his review alone! My wife said you're enjoying this a lot why not get an upright digital acoustic! So, off I went to a piano showroom earlier this week to specifically look at the CLP885, again based on Tony's review. While speaking with the salesperson he asked a number of questions which led me to take a look at the NU1XA ..... I much preferred the keyboard action. Sound was great! Polished ebony looks more refined than the 885 wood grain look. CLP885 sounded good but I don't need all the voicings. Can't go wrong either way ... I put my deposit down yesterday on the NU1XA. It's a bit pricier than the 885. Yamaha has a 0% 18 months financing happening now!
Wow if I were a rich man. Truly amazing I have listened to many digital pianos but the sonic quality of this instrument is incredible. If you had the capital for a grand piano but limited space the way to go. Andre from SA.
Great Video! with the arriving of the CLP885 it is really hard to made a decision. CLP885, NU1X, NU1XA ? Out of question the NU Serries have the best keyboard but what is with the Sound? Did the new diffuser Speaker system and sampling of the 885 make a big advantage in sound quality over the NU Serries which often compared to the upper CLP700 Serries? What is your opinion?
Does the NU1XA still retain the ability to open the front panel and feature the glass panel allowing a view of the internal mechanism, akin to its predecessor, the NU1X?
@@mnl_tm thank you. My local Yamaha dealer is willing to sell me a brand new Yamaha NU1XA for $5,500. I can also get a brand new Yamaha CLP 885 or Kawai CA901 for $4,700 (discounted). Debating which one I should get to give company to my Kawai GL40 Grand.
@Gustavo-x8f3q I wish I bought a clp instead of an nu1xa tho. I don't like the loud mechanical noises the nu1xa gives. Also I noticed a loud note issue with the nu1xa which was present in the older nu1x. It's a different type of issue I think cause it comes very randomly. After doing some research I found out its happening quite a bit(maybe due to style of playing). After contacting yamaha, the seem to have no idea how to fix it, just like the older nu1x which they gave a firmware update which didn't really fix it.
@@mnl_tm I am sorry to hear about the bad experience. Right now I’m stuck between the Kawai CA901, Yamaha CLP885 and the Roland LX9. Which would you choose? Are you going to sell your NU1XA and get a Clavinova? If so which model?

Did you ever find the answer?
@@Gustavo-x8f3qyou could open the panel, but it's difficult to buy a glass panel
