I think some day either Portland & Western or Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad will fix the line fully and use it fully! The railroad is too special and has a long history of logging. To me the Port Of Tillamook Bay railroad is worth fixing it’s very historic!
If I was a Billionare I would Lobby any Opponents of the Salmonberry Trail and Install City Counselors and County Commissioners and Elected statewide officials and Help Rebuild the railroad and I would spend a billion dollars on rebuilding the railroad that would hire over 10 million workers to rebuild the railroad. And build a railroad between Port Angeles and Tillamook.
Let’s hope if there is a Business case and the railroad will need to be used again that they update the tracks so they can go a little faster! Probably not going to happen!
Such a shame! I wish it was still used! What I meant was if it ever does get repaired which is a 1 and million chance they will update the tracks. You never know maybe there will be a Business case, not likely though!

It was officially abandoned and will be turned in to a trail.
