    Loved it. As you said, I would have liked it more crisp and defined, but you covered that with your straight razor reference. Also, you made me grin about the Telly Savalas reference, but to be fair, I would have grinned if you had called him Kojak :) Sir, you have a new fan.

      BDACHTisALPHA I was thinking of gettin a straight blade how many times would I have to change the blade for only to use for lining my beard

    • @BDACHTisALPHA
      @BDACHTisALPHA  6 років тому

      cmoneytheman I only line up my cheek line. So I can use the same blade up to 5 times. Sometimes I change them sooner because their not overly expensive.

    • @cmoneytheman
      @cmoneytheman 6 років тому

      BDACHTisALPHA I keep my beard way lower then yours and light would u say that would make a blade last longer or it make no difference

    • @BDACHTisALPHA
      @BDACHTisALPHA  6 років тому

      cmoneytheman well if your creating the line if it’s fully grown back, that would dull it faster. I usually use my liners to create my line and I sharpen it with the straight razor. So I’m basically using the straight razor to define the line

    Hey B. Been checking out more of your videos because they're the most informative and complete I can find on UA-cam. Checked out the "Cut Buddy" and the "Talc" video on trying to get that cheek crispy. Glad to see you're a straight razor man! PLEASE check out the EZ-Blade 6 oz tub shaving gel. I've used it and it's excellent. There's a 2 oz spritz bottle of beard oil and then the 6 oz gel tub. This stuff is green when you open the tub....BUT THE MAGIC IS when you rub it on it's CLEAR! You can see your cheek line clearly without the need for markers or pencils. Moreover, this stuff makes your stubble WAY easy to shave with a straight or safety.....or disappointingly an over the counter Schick, etc. GET some of this stuff and do a review. The 2 oz spritz is $12 and the 6 oz gel tub is $12 from Amazon. Keep up the good work!

    My Andis came with one of these and I felt real confused.
    I've been buzzcutting my head for 25 years but never taken this beard journey this beard trimming got me feeling conflicted as I haven't let this grow out in 10+ years.
    Probably gonna fuck up my face 😂

    • @BDACHTisALPHA
      @BDACHTisALPHA  3 роки тому

      Yeah that’s new that Andis sent one of those. End of the day it’s just a template. It’s mostly used to keep your lines the way you want them. I recommend using a chalk pencil and trace the line out. I’ve never used the template alone. I feel like it wouldn’t give me a crisp line.

    • @RAYTHEONGAMING
      @RAYTHEONGAMING 3 роки тому +1

      @@BDACHTisALPHA the pencil seems like it would make it a lot harder to screw up.

    • @BDACHTisALPHA
      @BDACHTisALPHA  3 роки тому

      @@RAYTHEONGAMING yeah it’s just a guideline. Just cut everything above it. That’s how I use it. After awhile your line will be where you want it, so you may not need the pencil every line up.

    It's weird how nobody who uses this tool ever trims the back of their necks, the only part of a DIY haircut that is even difficult. I asked the company if there is a guide that will fit a neck, they seem clueless as well and can't answer the question.

    • @BDACHTisALPHA
      @BDACHTisALPHA  3 місяці тому

      Yeah it’s just a freestyle for me. Once you establish where you want that line to be, just follow that guideline. For me, it’s difficult enough to line that area up, would be even more difficult to use the stencil. So for me the cheekline part is best for the tool to establish line. Now I just use the pencil only after knowing my beard. Cheers 🍻

    • @Josef_R
      @Josef_R 3 місяці тому +1

      @@BDACHTisALPHA Should be easier to use a stencil. I'm getting a plastic ruler and wrapping it to my neck, then shaving up to the ruler. That oughta do it for me. My problem is I can't see well enough to use two mirrors.

    • @BDACHTisALPHA
      @BDACHTisALPHA  3 місяці тому

      @@Josef_R yeah doing your own lineups especially that area is definitely trial and error. I usually just guess or just hover by the ear. As long as it’s no hair there I’m fine. Never want my ear line to be pushed in.

    Just a suggestion. Try writing bullets first. Most people checking out videos on UA-cam make up their minds within the first minute if they want to watch. I don’t know if you’ve required to have a specified time for the video. But it would have been more interesting if you had left out your personal background and got right to the demonstration. Then at the end while giving your opinion you could’ve talked about your background and what your opinion was about the Cut Buddy. Just some constructive criticism

    • @BDACHTisALPHA
      @BDACHTisALPHA  3 роки тому +1

      It’s all good. Much appreciated for your feedback and suggestions. Nothing but love. This video is about 3.5 years ago, so I’ve changed a lot and got better at getting to the point. Starting off on UA-cam is definitely different and nothing but room to grow and get better. Thanks again for checking me out and happy new year 💯🍻

      24blunt that’s understandable. All I do to my beard is line it up. I’m pretty good at knowing where my lines are now, so I don’t use the actual template. I just use the pencil to draw it out. The template is good for men who have no clue how to start their cheek lines. I can’t speak for hair cuts, because I never used it for that. Thanks for the feedback 💯👊🏽🍻
