And it's good to see Warner praising his teammate Dre Greenlaw who had a monster performance against the Packers in the Divisional Round, where he led the team with 8 tackles, 2 pass deflections, 2 interceptions and a tackle for loss. Hopefully the Niners linebacker tandem will perform just as well against the Chiefs.

My FIL's best friend passed away in September 2019, in between weeks 2 and 3. I made a point to watch the Niners games with him every week since, and the last I'd heard of them beforehand was the 2013 Super Bowl loss. So to see them have a 13-3 season that year, especially those final 9 downs of the Seahawks game (Game 16), was phenomenal. And then we made it to the Super Bowl again. So did the Chiefs, who hadn't won a Super Bowl in 50 years. The Chiefs got their underdog moment, and in 2023, they got revenge for us against the Eagles. It was also my best friend's wedding year, and she loves the Chiefs, so I was happy on her behalf. After watching them grow, after watching the Niners take a 3-4 season and turn it into 12 straight wins up to the NFC championship, with the latter half being won with Purdy as quarterback, I was psyched for this season. They bounced back so many times, from a 3-game losing streak, to back-to-back point deficits, this team has proven themselves both individually (Purdy, Aiyuk, Kittle, Samuel, Mitchell, McCaffrey, Greenlaw, Bosa, Moony) and collectively. So, for my FIL's best friend, let's go win that Super Bowl on Sunday. And to the Chiefs, Taylor Swift, and my newlywed friend, I'm sorry, but it's our turn. 29 years in the making, it's our turn to be the underdogs coming out with a victory.

The Chiefs got their underdog moment, and in 2023, they got revenge for us against the Eagles. It was also my best friend's wedding year, and she loves the Chiefs, so I was happy on her behalf.
After watching them grow, after watching the Niners take a 3-4 season and turn it into 12 straight wins up to the NFC championship, with the latter half being won with Purdy as quarterback, I was psyched for this season. They bounced back so many times, from a 3-game losing streak, to back-to-back point deficits, this team has proven themselves both individually (Purdy, Aiyuk, Kittle, Samuel, Mitchell, McCaffrey, Greenlaw, Bosa, Moony) and collectively.
So, for my FIL's best friend, let's go win that Super Bowl on Sunday. And to the Chiefs, Taylor Swift, and my newlywed friend, I'm sorry, but it's our turn.

I'm gonna get sappy here. I've been a fan since I was a kid, watched avidly a long time, I've been to games at Levi's every season since it opened 10 years ago, I was at this NFC Championship game. The Ladybug Catch, the fumble, those were by the end zone I was behind. I have never felt a Niners team that loves each other more and works for each other more -- y'all are special, and you can do this. We believe in you, we have your backs, and we will be sending you every ounce of energy and luck we have tomorrow. You got this.
PS. I think that Thanksgiving game is when Sherman called Niners fans, "mediocre," and boy did that piss me off. Wild that he's now Uncle Sherm! What a guy.
