- With the end of the Financial Year only days away for most people that means Tax Time. This training film shows the workings of the Taxation Department which seem complex but in action are basically quite simple. Taxes are charges on people, property or business for the benefit of the whole country. The Commonwealth Government imposes taxes to pay for its services, pensions, health, education and so on. It's the job of the Taxation Department to find out what amounts have to be paid and to collect them. A young man joining the Department is given an inside look at how it all works. Made by The Commonwealth Film Unit 1970. Directed by Shan Benson.

Is your argument that the Aboriginal people were born here and therefore get to make the laws? Because I was born here too.
Further, if it were legal to take anyone's property at any time, you would call not call this thievery? What would you call it? The distinction between theft and giving is consent. Same as the distinction between rape and love making. Whether or not some greasy politician writes three words on a piece of paper has no bearing on its basic nature.
fine, lets not have police, nurses, roads to drive your car on, customs officers, the internet or even the computer you used. All these are funded by taxes.

High Court of Australia decision handed down the following: Molikier -v- Chapman [2000] HCA "ATO is NOT a legal entity" and BroadBeach Properties Pty Ltd [2008] HCA "Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner are administrators and CANNOT collect tax liability". John, please see a qualified tax lawyer before you make such statement. You do not understand the Molikier case and have taken it out of context. Collection is part of administration function. It is the Commissioner that has the authority from the Parliament to collect tax. That's why all court cases refer to the Commissioner of Taxation and not the Australian Taxation Office.
Actually it doesn't. Firstly Australia is illegally governed by a British occupation government. We have colonial constitutions whilst being a sovereign state. Secondly, there are no facts to tie you to legislation. You entered into no contract with the people doing business as the government. You are no more legally obligated to pay Australian taxes than you are to pay Japanese taxes. It all just comes down to policemen and judges with guns pointing those guns at you to extract your money. End.
There is no such thing as a sovereign citizen.
