0:49 A huge snowstorm hit Connecticut this day, and another one at 1:00, making the snow cover a foot and a half deep, not fully melting until early March. And the first 3 weeks of February had very deep snow cover. Why doesn’t the snow cover show up on the map though?
Very fascinating - got me thinking how we used to have very wet summers here (south brazil).. up until the end of the 90s was very common to get summer thunderstorms almost every day in high summer - around 4/5pm ... the last 10~15 years i've noticed that happening less and less - which I'd risk a guess that it would have to do with different wind patterns from climate change + less humidity coming from the Amazon's region because stupid people keep burning and cutting the damn thing ...
Hello, thanks for your question. The eruption is visible, albeit poorly due to resolution and how the time-lapse is set up. You can find it on Dec 13th 21:00 UTC together with other clouds. For clearer images, we recommend that you take a look at our case study, where higher resolution images from multiple sources provide plenty of different views of the eruption: www.eumetsat.int/hunga-tonga-hunga-haapai_2022 You can also observe the eruption in EUMETView view.eumetsat.int/, in numerous layers such as Geostationary Ring Ash RGB - Multimission, AVHRR RGB Cloud Daily Accumulated - Metop B and AVHRR RGB Cloud Daily Accumulated - Metop C.

It's crazy how there are big chunks of ocean that get no clouds ever.
Some parts of the desert too
Cold ocean currents and subtropical high probably
Amazing. I can meditate for hours watching this.

Greetings from future - this was La Nina year, so dry year for Souther Brazil. 2024 El Niño arrived and flooded southern Brazil.
Thanks for clarification
Was this La Nina year?
What a shitty year in Hungary, eastern EU. Dry and warm. No rain at all. Drought is terrible atm too.
We want 2022 years January February and march edition
We're working on it!
@@EUMETSAT1 Take love😭❤️❤️
