This level still scares me a little, even today. It’s just so eerie with its little to no decoration, dark atmosphere and stalemate bringing the whole theme together. The pre drop of stalemate is quiet and creepy, making the start of the level feel unnerving, and the lack of decoration makes the level feel… dead. This is especially true for the black, spiky mini wave corridor at 0:23. I wish grief had gone with this horror theme instead of the evil theme it currently has. Grief is so flashy and busy compared to this level that even with stalemate, nothing about it is scary. I love grief, but I think it would’ve been so much cooler if it went full horror, like this.
