Great haul of stuff! Maybe FT Fixture is functional test fixture parts like connectors, test points. The grid looking modules in the LED collection could be some sort of dot matrix LED array for custom character fonts like some pinball games used.
@@AnotherMaker Perhaps contacting Franlab could be mutually beneficial. Arcane digital displays is one of her signature things. Just hope you do not need 2000V for a 7-seg display.
Toward the end there was an air of Liam Neeson in Schindler's List about you, "look at these chips, with one of these I could have saved another old computer... these din connectors, they could've saved another one..."
Geez. I would love a haul like this. I probably spend $50 on every project because I have to buy 6-20 of everything. I'm sure, by the time ibgo, I'm going to end up with batches and batches of random stuff like this.
It actually wasn't too bad. Turned out that it was more organized than it initially looked. My wife helped me bundle a lot of it together. The chips on the other hand are going to take some time.
What a haul. And here I am sending a little box hahaha none of them kits are from China. Wow man. This guy wasn't messing around. I have so much respect older engineers. Wire wrap headers too. Look at how the prototype pcbs have been dipped in liquid tin. You have hundreds of dollars in project boxes alone. I got into 3d printing because of their price. I've read those books a million times. I donated alot of them but I still have the pdfs on my phone. None of that stuff is junk. Those boxed displays are incredible. Psoc project!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the gift! Yeah. This was a random haul where I thought I was just getting the bin cases for $40 then he threw in all the rest of the stuff for $20. It was wild. I haven't gone through those mimms books in years. I want to get back to it.
Thank you. I'm definitely not trying to hoard stuff...it just stinks to have to go out and order 5 SMD resistors because you don't have them. Trying to find some balance there :)
That's awesome. I thought about building every project in the Mimms 555 book just for the heck of it. I've started. We'll see if I filmed it. Funny thing is that I'm watching your mailbag while answering comments.
Have you found the Neural Net CPU, A.K.A. the T-800 Processor yet?? You know they cannot self-terminate, however... having said that, Arnie did voluntarily climb onto that crane and allow himself to be lowered into the vat of nacho cheese, hum, cheese... Sorry I mean molten steel, surely his anti self-terminating tendancies/protocols should have kicked in and prevented him from, for want of a better phrase, voluntarily allowing himself to be terminated. Just saying. You know, now that I think of it I think there were several plot holes in that franchise. Like, let's be honest, and I believe Terminator: Dark Fate proved my point, that if John Connor is killed off as a child, someone else will grow up to lead the resistance. Plus, it's not like any army, or resistance group is totally reliant on one singular God-like leader, they have many and various leaders... Anyway, I believe I've proved my point...🤣🤣🤣 Well, although that is a quite a nice haul, I have just spent 29 minutes and 10 seconds scanning each frame for a Raspberry Pi... Hey, maybe one of those project boxes would fit a Raspberry Pi??? Anyway, my disappointment and despair grows exponentially, along with my joensing for some Raspberry Pi action...🤣🤣🤣

I'm pretty excited about the chips too. I have a lot of research. and yeah. I agree on the grid modules. More research ahead!

yes yes, support your local hoarder.
Toward the end there was an air of Liam Neeson in Schindler's List about you, "look at these chips, with one of these I could have saved another old computer... these din connectors, they could've saved another one..."
haha. Well at least I'm already putting them to use in my projects.

That's my exact problem. You get nickeled and dimed on all these projects with the little things. Of course I probably still won't have what I need :)
Wow! That's a helluva score!
It's pretty fun stuff.
Fantastic haul, and now the sorting begins. Sweet

I'm jealous! Although I also have lots lots of stuff (probably for 2-3 of my lifetimes) but I still need (want) more !
Congrats.

Wow, Great haul !!
Thank you! It's all sorted and away now.
$60 wow nice deal.
I now have 2 editions of the IC555 Projects book now written by E.A.Parr

@@AnotherMaker Aww thanks for viewing.
I thought about it as well but have more then enough video to record at the moment (around 500 now)
Wow, some of those enclosures looks like you can cut out a space for a display.
Yeah. I don't have plans for them yet, but I'm hoping for some fun stuff.
@@AnotherMaker with a smaller display and maybe canbus you can make small dashboard displays
@@tripplegracing8276 that would be awesome

He's a good guy and you usually do well to follow his advice. Thank you so much..

That processor may be in one of the bins. What kind of pi project are you wanting to build?
@@AnotherMaker Not sure, something that would push the pi and show it's worth
An uncle died and I bought his stuff for 400 and was worth about 60k!
Sorry for your loss but I'm glad his stuff was able to go to a good cause.
😍👍
Thanks for watching.
