    I'm going to help with some of this information because I do think it is important and have not come across other American youtubers covering her case. There was A LOT of misinformation happening when she first disappeared, so I do want everybody to know;
    1. She did not run away to Copenhagen for a couple of weeks prior to this incident. After the police made this statement, her parents made sure to correct it. The damage had already been done and most Danes were under the assumption that Emilie had just run away from home, it was gut wrenching reading all the comments online about her at that time. Everybody thought she was a troll and just wanted attention - people can be very disgusting and this incorrect information released by the police backfired awfully when it came down to the investigation.
    2. The whole country was behind trying to locate her, once everybody understood that she was in fact missing. For a small country, they had THOUSANDS of people that came and searched. You can find pictures of the walk everybody went on with their candles/lights to memorialize her. They walked from the train station to town, the walk she wouldve taken alone to get home. The whole country mourned.
    3. You are correct - her cause of death has never been released, I don't think it ever will be.
    4. The place where her body was found is not a place often frequented or an area that a random person would've just known. Due to this, most do believe that the assailant is someone that grew up in that area or lives there.
    5. They absolutely had tunnel vision on the guy that they kept going back and doing searches by. They destroyed his home, absolutely. Destroyed his life in that town.
    6. Do not ever throw any hate towards her friends that let her walk home alone. This was an extremely normal thing to do in Korsør at the time, walking to your destination is more normal than owning a car. Walking is peaceful and nothing ever happened in Korsør, until she was taken.
    Also, although I'm from Korsør, I moved to America the year before her disappearance, so I followed along online but saw everything because all of my Facebook friends were posting and sharing every single article that came out.
    I hope this gets solved at some point, I hope her family and my past friends receive closure.

      Emilie lå ikke i den sø i 5 måneder. Det er noget i denne her sag , der ikke hænger sammen. Der foregår ikke nogen efterforskning, det er et coverup af politiets inkompentence. Politiet har svigtet deres positive forpligtigelser til at efterforske rettidigt og omhyggeligt, jf. EMRK artikel 2. Så hvorfor har advokaten ikke stævnet politiet?

      There is evidence that she might have been abducted and later killed by a group of young men. These were spotted near the road she was supposed to take. No body seemed to care about telling that this road she took actually lead into a ghetto called 'Motalavej'. On the morning she dissapeared two individual people a recident + a old man living at nearby nursing home, both heard a disperate female scream and then multiple male voices. The older man at the Nursing home described the men as being some the "the boys" which he normally uses to refer the arab boys in the area.
      In the following search for Emilie many of the young immigrant males living at Motalavej came up to the people searching for Emilie, and told them "she has already been moved" and "you are not going to find her alive". These reports were confirmed by many members of the Missing People's crew who heard this several times.
      In 2020 police began hunting for DNA profiles from the men in the area and there is more and more evidence that suggest that this is the likely case while the other rumours have nothing to do with the case.
      There has several attacks, sexual assualt, and hate crimes comitted by primarily immigrants residing in Motalavej over the years. It is baffling that no media have been able to connect these stories.

    • @Adorably_morbid
      @Adorably_morbid Рік тому +1

      @Factual I understand that you are calling Moatalavej a "ghetto". I literally lived there for 5 years, they're some of the cheapest apartments in Korsør and I didn't necessarily grow up with my parents having money. I'd like to ask you - are you from Denmark?
      Although Motalavej might be considered the "ghetto" of Korsør, it is genuienly not like a ghetto. Yes there's been a couple of stabbings, most arguing and fights that happen, happen between the Muslims and their families. While the groups of Muslims (yes you refer to them as Arabs, I can guarantee you that everyone in Korsør just says Muslims) may end up being larger groups, they are not scary/dangerous groups of people. One of the the most "popular" guys in Motalavej slapped my ass one day as I was walking by, I turned around and instantly slapped him, left the rest of the group laughing at him and that was it. My main point is that these groups are not murderers. Most of them DO NOT own cars.
      The area Emilie was found was miles away, in a secluded area that you'd only know, if you'd been there or were from there. She was not found in Korsør.
      Personally, I'd be extremely, extremely surprised if it ends up being any Arabs from Motalavej that went as far as killing her. I walked through that neighborhood and lived there for years. They are not scary individuals, just groups that try to seem harder than they are. I was literally 12 or 13 when I slapped him. They're not dangerous.

    • @factual7013
      @factual7013 Рік тому +4

      @@Adorably_morbid Dear Rebecca. Yes I am Danish and yes I do have information from other residents from that area.
      What you are saying is a bit problematic. You are somehow using your prior experience from living in the area to justify that all these people must be innocent. This is not how it works. It would be similar to ask a friend of a serial killer to ask if the person could ever kill everyone, and then remove suspicion based on the friends point of view. You haven't met all people from Motalavej, so you have arguments that could deem every single Muslim from the area to be innocent. Just as well as you cannot deem every single Danish person innocent just because you know a few or have experience with them.
      On the contrary, you litterly described how some of these guys disrespected women and slapped your butt in front of his friends. attitudes towards women liek that, are exactly what motivates people to just assault women. This is a problem in Denmark were sexual assaults performed by unknown Muslim men are overrepresented because a lack of respect of how western women dress. I have multiple female friends who have been gang raped by Muslim men every time... How do you know the guys who slapped your butt, might not have gone further if they could have gotten away with it? - You don't!
      First of all Motalavej has been considered a Ghetto by the standards in Denmark - it has later been removed from the Ghetto list. The reason why I write it like that is to explain to any English speakers what is going on. This is not relevant to the story, nor is it if I refer to them as Arabs. It does not make my comment any less valuable or incorrect, as there are also residents at Motalavej from other Muslims countries and other Arabs who are not Muslim.
      "My main point is that these groups are not murderers." - how do you know? Is the overall group also not murders? There has been plenty of cases where danish muslims have killed danish women before. Aya Bonde Jensen was killed by her Pakstanian man who tortured and groomed her for many years, same with Maria Louise Fiedler who was killed in fornt of her own daugther. These are just a few of many cases...
      "The area Emilie was found was miles away" - and so what? Did it occur to you that a person getting rid of the body of course would move it away from the alleged scene of the crime? Of cause! BTW the scene is not a place you would only know if you had been there - it was close to a main highway and was easy to access. Checking from maps and google earth are easy tools to find dislocated areas to look for.
      "I was literally 12 or 13 when I slapped him. They're not dangerous" - here you litterly confirm that a little girl are still being targeted by such people. Besides that, in recent years there has been multiple shootings, stabbing, and sexual assaults from this group in particular, so saying that they are not "dangerous" is a clear underestimation.
      Besides all this, why do these people go around and taunt and try to humiliate the people searching for Emilie by saying all these things about her not being alive and that she has been removed?

    I'm Danish, and I see that some misinformation has already been corrected but I also just wanna add;
    - It's not just that nothing happens in Korsør and it being a small and safe city. Denmark has an average of 39 homicides per year with most of them being men killed by men. Furthermore, for women most is by their partner or someone they knew.
    - Also, around July 10th the sun rises around 4.30am in Denmark, and around 4am it will already be starting to be light outside. Walking alone around 4am a summer morning in Denmark is not only extremely normal but also considered safe regardless of where you live.

    This is absolutely disheartening, my dad worked his way up the ranks to detective when I was growing up, he was dang good, his whole motto with his colleagues was “we rule NOTHING OUT!”
    I sent him the link to this a few days ago and the man was outraged, then almost in tears thinking it could happen to ANYONE, his family or a girl he considered family after spending so much time with her family getting to know her, listening to their stories, eventually breaking down with them, kids are his trigger as well as the helpless elderly. He could NOT BELIEVE the conduct of these lazy, sloppy, undertrained “police” and all their stupid assumptions that she “ran away, and digging up and searching someone’s property FIVE TIMES, they would have ordered the man to leave and gotten all the evidence they needed in one swoop, camera’s, videotaping, it would have kept my dad up day and night until it was solved. He said that whole force should be shamed, fired and or retrained because their huge lazy assumptions cost a family from seeing justice through, the statistics are if a crime isn’t solved within the first 90 days, unless the FBI steps in, it won’t be solved.
    I’m NOT AT ALL VICTIM BLAMING BECAUSE I MADE CHOICES LIKE THIS BEFORE GROWING UP THAT I GOT A REAL “TALKING TOO” FOR But now as a parent with infant twin’s myself I understand where he was coming from. Fortunately it seems that they have learned from their awful mistakes as a 13 year old girl was kidnapped 4 days ago in the same city as Emilie went missing, and they managed to find the girl within 27 hours and did a very professional and extensive search for the poor girl, including getting immidiate help from the public, unlike with Emilie. Hi! Thanks for covering a case from Denmark! You did a great job covering the case :)
    I’m a Dane and I remember this case - it was awful and disappointing how the police handled the case.
    I remember Christmas Eve 2016 when we learned that the body of Emilie most likely had been found - in Denmark we celebrate Christmas on the 24th, so to Emilies family to learn her body had been found on a day where you are supposed to “hygge” with your familie must have been devastating.
    Also, the body was found in a lake not too far from where I grew up and still lived at this time - which just left me with a sick feeling in my stomach. But a friend of mine grew up even closer to the lake, and she used to play there when she was a kid. Her and her family told me that it has had to be someone who knew the area who had dumped the body there, as only people familiar with the area would have known how secluded the area really is, and that not too many people comes there. The police never disclosed how Emilie lost her life.
    In regards to the police we have pretty high trust in the police in Denmark. But this case was unfortunately one that was handled extremely badly, and the police themselves have admitted that they made mistakes. The only thing that gives me a little hope, is that a few months ago, a similar case happened with a young girl that disappeared during the late night/early morning. The police acted right away; put a lot of resources on the case and asked for the publics help right away. Which lead to the body being found and an arrest made only a few days later. It seems the police has learned from their mistakes. Though those mistakes should have never happened in the first place.

    Whenever a case is so poorly investigated and witnesses claims aren’t followed up on, like this one, I tend to think that the authorities may have the blinders on and tunnel vision due to the fact they are already sold on a suspect. In their minds it’s now just a waiting game on gathering enough evidence OR the person they suspect is or was affiliated with law enforcement or a family member of an officer, or someone with strong political ties; and the cops are just covering things and holding their breath (as cliche as it may seem). I just have a suspicion kit may be either or. Great presentation!👏🏻. Thanks 🙏🏻. Enjoy 😊✌🏻

      They didn't do a bad job.. When they realized she was missing missing they actually did a whole lot! And maybe sometimes too much! But they WANTED to find her!!
      The guy accused of abducting, r4ping and k1lling her, is on trial.. almost as we speak (well he has been for two days, and will for 16 more court days). And it has been reported that they have hundreds of binders of investigation, from before the guy was caught (in another.. REALLY horrible case!).
      So I agree they were not quick enough the first day (or ways it two days? Not completely sure)
      But also, there had been a structural change in how the police worked on criminal cases. From one national specialized team, helping police districts, when there was crimes like murders and other "person dangerous" crimes (directly translated from danish, since I can't remember the English word for that type of crime 😊), to police districts having to do these tasks themselves. I mean they are still really professional!! But since this almost never happens, they for sure hadn't dealt with this type of crime, "alone", before!
      Police are very professional and in general really good at their jobs here! The solved rates here are really high! Some of the highest in the world! It bot an easy task to kill someone here! You normally get caught!
      But there are exceptions, of course! 😊
      Again, I agree they did wrong here! Definitely!
      But to say they did a horrible job, is just not right, either!

    • @stephz0r93
      @stephz0r93 2 місяці тому

      @AshtonishingJelly 2 місяці тому

      @@stephz0r93 My point is.. They didn't do any job! They prioritized wrong! (Which is always very easy to say and to see, after the fact!).
      I agree it was a really problematic choice in this case! Everyone knows this! Police too!
      But when they did start working on the case, they did everything possible!!
      They are not bad! They are professional, despite there being mayor adjustments in the structure of police departments at that point.
      My point is that if they searched for everyone with drones, dogs, all police forces etc etc. with everyone that goes missing, they wouldn't have money for anything else!
      So it does happen!
      It's so easy to be the investigator and judge, when someone has done all the work for you, and we know all facts!
      I don't totally disagree with you! But they in general do some of the best work in the world!
      Well or at least are very professional and reasonable, to a degree that trust towards the police, is extremely high here in Denmark!
      So the message about the police is imo a biiit black and white for me.
      And I get a bit annoyed that people thinks that how American police act and work, is necessarily by definition, how everyone works and behaves!
      Sorry.. But in general danish police is better at solving these types of crimes then police in general, in the US is.. It's just statistics.
      And also there are so many behavioural and perceptional differences between those two countries.
      My suspicion is that saying they did a bad job, is a very American way of perceiving something that doesn't work the same way is on America!
      A lot of people don't know that, even in Denmark! We often know more about American police and justice system, then our own!
      That's just why I said what I said, and why I believe what I believe!
      But no matter how good a police force you have, they will never be right all the time!
      And in this case, unfortunately it was a crucial, devastating mistake they made! 😭
      They know it, and have learned from it! 😊

Couldn’t the Police have joined the dots to looking at White Hyundai’s seen in the Korsor area and white Hyundai’s in Borup, more people need to talk or some are holding out.
