    How are preventing the sabertooth from overloading and getting damaged by those motors drawing too much current?

      Well, the 32 in the 2x32 is amps. I felt like the 2x25 might be light for the wheelchair motors but after doing some research into the 2x32 controller and wheelchair motors in general, I felt like it might be up to the task. There isn't any info on the motors to make calculations with but at some point I'll hook the motor to a 12 volt and 24 volt setup and put the motor under stress while I test amp draw.

      I'm going to look into this, there's a vid on it somewhere but I can't find it. It's in the mixing on the transmitter. I'd like to put it all on the left so I could use the right for other things. Thanks!

    Do you know how to increase speed to the wheels

    Hi Lee, thanks for this video. The sabertooth 2x32 Amps is all out of stock. The only sabertooth I can find is 2x25Amps - would that be suitable for this kind of setup? Appreciate your response. Cheers

      I Think the 25amp may be borderline if you loaded the motors with a lot of weight, like a heavy cart. The 2/32 is now on a jazzy scooter i tore down to just motor wheels and battery. It works well, it's not fast but STRONG and crazy quiet on concrete. I think the 2/25 would work on the jazzy as long as I didn't put it to work dragging things around or weighing it down. Copy and paste this, it adds a little insight. community.robotshop.com/forum/t/if-a-dc-wheelchair-motor-is-rated-at-9-4-amps/10598 I should be doing a video on the jazzy in the near future. :)

    This motor controller is expensive. Can I use 2 single motor controllers instead?

      Yes, 2 brushed r/c controller works fine.

    What gauge wires that you use on the motor

    • @matthewforan6397
      @matthewforan6397 11 місяців тому

      Depends on how hard you expect to drive the motors. For example if you want a full 32A (continuous) you might need 8 or even 6 AWG. It also depends on how many cores are in your wires. If you use full solid conductors like you might find in home wiring, you can go down to 12 gauge. There are tables you can find online showing the current capacity of different wires.

    I went through two of these 2x25 in the past 10 years and wish there’s a repair for it from the mfg because these are 100$ a piece. I can’t be buying new one every few years

    I have a lawn mower (two 350w motors) controlled by a sabertooth 2x25 and a flysky i6ab. All fonctionned.
    I had to change the wheel transmission, so I had to dismantel the electronics. Now, all remounted at the original position, when I turn on the circuit, one wheel start spinning alone. (turning on the flysky, it cannot drives. I am not a specialist.
    I succesfully rebinded, but the wheel start again. On the flysky display appear a third line: SIGS1:10. What does it mean? (i suggest somethings about velocity of motor 1). What can i do?
    Thanks
    Pier

      You need to change the switches on the sabertooth driver to radio. I think its the first switch flipped and the rest are left alone, but there is a manual that comes with it.

      It'd work great, I think the two by 25 would be plenty. It's surprising how small the motors are in those, they're just geared low.
